Another wonderful summer vacation has come to an end. Over the past few weeks, I had the privilege of being more unplugged than usual, immersing myself in the vast and beautiful mountains of Norway, enjoying precious moments with my beloved family. This summer provided me with the opportunity to reflect deeply on the past 180 days as the CIO/CTO at Naviair. The threat in Europe is higher than ever before; the shifting political climate, war and conflicts in Europe and the Middle East inevitably affect each of us in one way or another. Our critical infrastructure in Denmark faces daily attacks from those who seek to disrupt our everyday lives. At Naviair, our mission is to ensure accessibility and safe airmobility throughout the kingdom, despite the threats to our services and systems. I firmly believe that focusing on our ways of working, our expertise, and the partners we choose to collaborate with are the keys to securing safe mobility across Denmark and Europe, now and in the future. RACVIAC-Centre for Security Cooperation and the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre (E-ARC) have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in the fields of security, resilience, and emerging technologies. The signing ceremony took place today in Bucharest, Romania with Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, Director of RACVIAC, and Ovidiu Raețchi, President of E-ARC, representing their respective organizations. This Memorandum of Understanding signifies a commitment to mutual #cooperation and strengthening of regional #security and resilience. Both organizations will continue to develop this #partnership with the aim of achieving their common goals and contributing to the s#tability and s#ecurity of the South East European (SEE) region. The Munich Security Conference #msc2024 was a special experience and an unique opportunity for high-level debates on the world’s most pressing security challenges. Overall, this conference serves as a critical forum for fostering dialogue, collaboration, and consensus-building among the diverse stakeholders to address the complex security challenges of our time. Together with my colleagues Marc Reinhardt Andreas Conradi Dr. Benjamin Schulte it was great to represent Capgemini there. 🌍💪 💹 And by prioritizing security, we not only protect our democracy, our states, the businesses but also our planet. When I introduce my work and our company, the first question that always comes is "What is a complex project?" Let me give an example. Imagine the railway industry in Germany, the longest rail network in Europe, its 2bn+ passenger per year, its 9 neighbours & interfaces... Railway have been fascinating but also developping Europe over the last 2 centuries, and the journey is far from over. Imagine bringing this network to a new era, with new technologies, new requirements (I guess you don't often think about CyberSecurity and a train together), taking in account its variety & diversity. We're talking Europe, we're talking Future, we're talking Impact. That's the kind of projects we work on! (Concerning my part, natürlich in Deutschland, anche in Italia, mais aussi en France...)
