Best-selling author, financial educator, wife of a U.S. Army & Navy veteran, mother of two young men
Had an amazing time reconnecting with Tom McManus, an original Jacksonville Jaguars player, on his talk show today. As a former sports writer for the local daily newspaper, I covered the Jaguars in the late 1990s and early 2000s. During the interview, I shared my passion for teaching financial literacy. If you're interested in having me teach a How Money Works class for your group or organization, check out the brief interview and let me know! #mzmoneyworks #jaguars #jacksonville #financialliteracy #financialeducation

We have another article from Adam Lechmere this #newcontentthursday - and it's a fascinating profile of Daniel Cathiard, owner of Château Smith Haut Lafitte and Cathiard Vineyard. Before switching to vineyards, Daniel was a downhill Olympic skier for the 1965 French national team, and a businessman who turned his father's small company into a 300-outlet entity, while also launching the company Go Sport alongside his wife Florence. Adam meets Daniel at his new Napa estate, and digs into the motivation that keeps him so focused, commenting: 'There are two kinds of elite sportsperson: those who can make the transition to civilian life, and those who can’t. The Cathiards are definitely of the first group. The soft option didn’t attract them, Daniel says. “The hippy time was very symphatique, but we never went in 100 per cent. We watched it, and we said, that’s not what we want to do.” 'I’m put in mind (says Adam), 'of what the American journalist Hunter S Thompson wrote about Cathiard’s team-mate Killy in a 1970 profile, of the “discipline of rigid training” necessary to ski at the highest standard; of the “almost superhuman concentration, the ability to see and remember every bump and twist on a race course, and then to run it without a single mistake: no mental lapses, no distractions, no wasted effort.” It can’t be that different to running a multi-million dollar business.' #insidebordeaux #subscribercontent #winemakerprofile #newcontentthursdays #cathiard #smithhautlafitte #cathiardvineyard #bordeauxnapa
