Global Art/Culture Strategist | Expert in Fine Arts/Mediation | Alchemist of Creative Possibilities | Bridging Europe, Africa & Asia. Every week, I triple-check art market sources for bias
🇹🇼 Is Taipei’s strategy a model for future art markets, or a cautionary tale of overreach in the quest to capture global attention? Taiwan is asserting its position on the global art stage with Taipei Dangdai 2024. It might be a true cultural renaissance. n' Once a giant, now an underdog, Taipei's art scene thrives not in art galleries, but in the hands of its connoisseurs. Once a powerhouse overshadowed by Beijing and Hong Kong, Taipei is now a playground for affluent collectors and a beacon for cultural tourism. Yet, as it attracts global galleries and flaunts local heritage, Taipei Dangdai reveals the double-edged sword of rapid market expansion. Despite the allure, there are signs that the local contemporary art market is not yet self-sustaining—evidenced by a special section for artworks under $8,000 to entice local buyers. This move signals a deep-rooted challenge: growing a genuine art appreciation, support local the local scene with so many markets around in Asia now, versus expanding a speculative bubble. The fair's strategic blend of high culture and market dynamics reflects Taiwan's unique position, caught between cultural authenticity and economic ambition Considering this complex interplay, how did Taipei manage to recalibrate its position from a regional player to a central hub in the Asian art market? #TaipeiDangdai #ArtMarket #CulturalDynamics https://lnkd.in/g4TnqNMT

Emotional platform. There's something that has always strongly attracted me to these cultural-creative spaces or platforms that periodically emerge in various cities around the world. They are always moments of inspiration, from the underlying concept that drives them, to their content, and to the activities they develop over time. Certainly, the challenge is to keep them relevant over time, thus necessitating a long-term vision. Just inaugurated a few hours ago in Milan, The Prism Core Center, dubbed "Shamanic-Spiritual Art" by its creator, Stefano Simontacchi. Neither a museum nor a gallery, but rather an "emotional platform" punctuated by hypnotic abstract works. Plexiglass disks and LEDs of singular luminous intensity, distributed along two paths curated by the critic and philosopher Marco Senaldi. Not a miracle, but the result of extensive research: it's a twenty-minute journey through seven rooms (a highly symbolic number in every religion) that - with a touch of mysticism - takes place in darkness, in solitude, guided by the recorded voice of its creator through headphones. 🙌 What’s your take? # 293 CULTURE, Italy 👉 More contents on our website, the link to the featured news is in the first comment below. 🎯 If you want to learn more about our transformative approach to generating growth (yes, what we call innovation marketing!), feel free to write us privately. During our travels to Japan, we were continually drawn into the country's pulsating art scene, wandering through galleries and museums that celebrated its deep-rooted artistic traditions. Amidst this vast canvas of creativity, the art collective mé stood out, leaving an indelible mark on our souls. Comprising the unique talents of KOJIN Haruka, MINAMIGAWA Kenji, and MASUI Hirofumi, mé embodies the essence of collaborative artistry, where individual brilliance melds to create something truly transcendent. "Contact", a 2019 mix media installation by mé, was one such creation that beckoned us. Through its portrayal of solidified black sea waves, it delves into the profound duality of the ocean's boundless expanse and its intimate dance. Kojin's reflections resonated deeply, emphasizing the fluid nature of our perceptions of the ocean. At a distance, it's a vast panorama, but as we approach, does it not transform into rhythmic waves, and even further, into its purest form? How do our perceptions shift as we change our vantage point? And isn't that true for many things in life, not just the ocean? The large art installation challenges these perceptions, offering a lens to view the ocean as both infinite and detailed. In sharing this artistic gem, we invite you to ponder: How do you perceive the vastness around you? Do you see the ocean or the waves? Or do you see the very essence of life? We hope this piece inspires introspection and a deeper connection with the world around, as it did for us. #mécreations #contactinsights #oceanicjourney #kojinwisdom #artisticexplorations #wavesandwhispers #collaborativecanvas #japanartdiaries #natureinmedia #meditativeartistry #modernart #artlovers #visualart #contemporaryartist #artphoto #artnow #artspace #artdiscover #artcontemporary #ocean

"Top Tips to get you going as an artist! Embrace the Creative Ritual 🕰️ Establish a consistent routine and dedicate specific times for your creative practice. By treating your art like an appointment, you're more likely to show up and engage with it, even on days when inspiration feels elusive. Consistency breeds familiarity, and familiarity can often ignite the spark you need to overcome creative blocks. Seek Inspiration in the Unexpected 🌈 When you feel stuck, step away from your usual creative space and immerse yourself in new environments or experiences. Visit a museum, attend a live performance, or explore a neighbourhood you've never been to before. These fresh perspectives can stimulate your senses and ignite new ideas, helping you break free from creative stagnation. Embrace Imperfection and Play 🎨 Sometimes, the pressure to create something perfect can be paralysing. Instead, approach your art with a sense of playfulness and curiosity. Experiment with new techniques, materials, or styles without the expectation of producing a masterpiece. This freedom to explore and make ""mistakes"" can often lead to unexpected breakthroughs and reignite your creative spark." #lindseymcalister #lindseymcalisterart #artist #artinhongkong #hongkongartist
