International Trade Corridor Director - North America | Partnership Development | Connecting You to business opportunities in the US 🇺🇸 & Canada 🇨🇦
This morning at World Trade Center Miami, I had the privilege of leading a transformative Santander Navigator workshop, diving deep into the globalisation strategies with our valued providers. Our dynamic discussion centered on the exciting opportunities on the horizon for our subscribers, as well as the formidable challenges that the US market poses for SMEs, along with innovative solutions to overcome them. Later in the day, we were fortunate to visit the impressive operations of American Foods in Miami. Their all-encompassing services cater to every aspect of establishing and expanding a company's presence in the region, from logistics and distribution to market research and strategic partnerships. Witnessing their seamless operation left us invigorated, envisioning boundless possibilities for our clients seeking to extend their reach across the Americas. A key insight from our sessions today underscored the critical need for a meticulously crafted action plan for UK businesses aspiring to make a lasting impact in the US market. It's not just about entering the market; it's about mastering the terrain, cultivating relationships, and outmaneuvering the fierce competition, both domestically and globally. In the US market, it's vital to grasp that it operates as a pay-to-play arena. Investing in personal interactions and visits can yield monumental benefits in forging robust connections and partnerships. Moreover, active participation in trade shows can furnish invaluable insights and elevate brand visibility in a fiercely competitive landscape. #globalization #USmarket #SMEs #businessgrowth #networking #MiamiWorkshop.

🚀 What is a Barcamp? 🤔 Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in a Deutsche Bank Barcamp for the first time. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽? A Barcamp is a special type of meeting or conference. There are no fixed plans in advance about what will happen. Instead, people come together to talk about topics that interest them. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 📝𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: At the beginning, all participants can suggest topics they want to talk about or discuss. Then, the other participants vote on which topics should be covered. 🕒 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: After the topics are decided, they are divided into different time slots and rooms. Participants then choose which sessions they want to attend. 🗣️𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: During the sessions, participants discuss the chosen topics. It can include discussions, workshops, presentations, or other forms of interaction. You're not obligated to stay for a whole session; you can come and go as you please, depending on your interest. ☕𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: There are often breaks between sessions where participants can exchange ideas with each other. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝: The opportunity for all participants to actively participate and shape the direction of the event. There are no obligations to attend sessions for the entire duration, and there are no hierarchies. Additionally, it's fantastic to meet colleagues from other areas and benefit from their expertise. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥? A #Barcamp is a very open and dynamic way to exchange knowledge, discover new ideas, or advance projects. It provides an excellent opportunity to collectively drive innovation and community building. Do you know other interesting formats? 💡 #Networking #Knowledge #Experience #Innovation Deutsche Bank Unternehmensbank

Message to our Summer Innovators Vintage 2023 ... Envision the future 10 years from now and decide whether you want to be average or positively exceptional, as your actions over the next decade will greatly influence your outcome. If you want to be average, then be shy and hide in the crowd and merely do what is expected of you. If you want to be positively exceptional, then decide upon what you will do to make yourself standout today, and then compound this for next ten years. Note that working harder is likely to get you a linear return, whereas working smarter is likely to you get an exponential return, so they best way to stand out is to work harder and smarter than others, driven by clear purpose beyond money. “No one goes a Marathon without preparing”, this is what Beth told me 60 seconds to our meeting with Executives Director from JP Morgan today . I’ve learnt a great deal in the past months working with our team on pitches and presentations. If you’re a young person / student, leave no stone unturned. Everyone second in your pitch/presentation matters. Revise and mock practice your presentation deck as many times as you can. Ask colleagues and friends to proof read. Practice! Practice ! Practice. It’s painful, it’s boring , it’s stressful but practice. Usain Bolt said ,” I trained 4 years to run 9 seconds , and peope give up when they don’t see results in 2 month” I felt that Whatever you do, don’t quit. Start over , try again, readjust. regroup, refresh , but whatever you do don’t quit. Keep preparing. When no one is watching Keep preparing without any applause Keep preparing, without any notoriety Keep pressing Keep your eyes on the prize , and don’t quit At QS ImpACT we build young people and recognize them for their impact. Apply to start a council in any country /university. “An opportunity of a life time should be garbed in the life time of the opportunity “
