East Devon Class Q - Success A Class Q development has been approved for a building on an agricultural holding extending to 15.5 acres, mostly woodland and grassland used for grazing. The building has historically been used for livestock. However, since 1998 the building has been used for the storage of agricultural machinery and accoutrements and hay. The building is constructed with blockwork walls, timber beams and one large central steel beam. Externally it has solid block work to all four sides with a lean-to attached to the south side. The front and rear of the building both have large steel panelled doors for access. The mono-pitch roof is clad with a corrugated steel roof covering. The change of use proposal related to the conversion of the building to provide one ‘larger’ dwelling. The total floor space of the ‘larger’ dwelling amounts to 170m2, comprising of a one-storey dwelling with an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and 4 bedrooms – one en suite. The building will be converted to a dwelling whilst retaining the blockwork and vertical timber cladding for the walls and the corrugated steel roof panels, all of which can be repaired/replaced if necessary on further inspection. Windows and doors will be dark grey powder coated aluminium frames with double-glazed units. The material for the front door will be hardwood. #Acorus #planning #rural #country #property #design #architecture #buildings #agriculture #farms #dwellings #investment #business #planningapplication #buildingdesign #buildingregulations #countryside #home #ruralplanning #ukfarming #nature #landscape #convert #barnconversions #diversification #keepingcharacter #newpost #success #reuse #changeofuse

#DidYouKnow? ---- Cedral Facades need very little maintenance. This is one of the many benefits of choosing Cedral. Once installed, Cedral products do not require any specific maintenance. If they get dirty, cleaning with water is sufficient. Success with Fall-back design in Essex. Two former post war emergency houses, subsequently used as pig housing for which Acorus undertook the design and planning work for change of use to two houses under class q. Following this application Acorus went in with a fall-back design. The proposal was to demolish both units that had class q consent on them with a new 4 bed Essex style house in a slightly different location. Achieving a successful outcome. #Acorus #planning #rural #country #property #design #architecture #buildings #agriculture #farms #dwelling #planningapplication #buildingdesign #classq #buildingregulations #countryside #home #ruralplanning #ukfarming #landscape #design #essex #render #character #oldbuildings #changeofuse #transform #newbuild #dwelling #fallback #newhome #newhouse

In terms of construction, palisade fences are significantly sturdier and more secure than regular fencing. Its design is generally vandal-resistant and just about impossible to climb. It is also much more attractive than a chain-link fence.

Updates Unveiled at Cosy Hauz’s Havelock Road Project! 🏠💫 We're transforming this single-story garage on a generous side plot into a luxurious 3-bedroom detached double-fronted house. Construction began in January 2024, and we've been making steady progress since then. 🏗️ On the exterior, we have completed the roofing works, and scaffolding remains for installing the front facade mouldings. Inside, partitions are set up to the first floor. In the coming weeks, we'll install stairs to the loft to continue partition work. We're also progressing with plumbing, wiring, and plastering, all geared towards an early turnover date. ✨ In this project, we were able to achieve something remarkable with our project timeline. Initially aiming for a turnover date in November 2024, we're now on track to finish three months ahead of schedule! This achievement not only demonstrates our commitment to excellence but also brings tangible benefits. The faster turnaround time allows us to save on construction costs, reduces risk exposure to market shifts, and accelerates the time to collect returns on investment. Share your insights on wrapping up projects ahead of schedule or your smart strategies for saving costs during construction. Let's exchange valuable knowledge and grow together! 💪 Interested in exceptional results for your projects or discussing your property transformation ideas?
