Did you know that #socioeconomic status impacts the ways in which we donate? According to a recent study, Almost 7 in 10 (69% of) US adults donate. When someone lives in an area where there are high levels of economic inequality — one is more likely to donate to charitable causes; however, high levels of economic inequality leads wealthier individuals to be less generous than lower-income individuals (stats via PLOS ONE). It only takes a little to make a #bigimpact (the most common amount donated is less than $99). There are various ways to receive support for your organization beyond monetary donations! 🌟 💸 While financial contributions are appreciated, there are diverse avenues for support beyond writing a check. 📈 Consider stock contributions through an investment account or IRA. If your nonprofit has a brokerage account, donors can contribute this way, avoiding capital gains and maximizing support for your mission. 🎁 In-kind donations are invaluable! Individuals or businesses can provide supplies and materials, reducing your expenses and allowing you to allocate funds more effectively. 🤝 Donated Services count too!
