Coinbase ran the most talked/tweeted/covered ad in Super Bowl LVI! 🏈🏆🤝💵 Did you catch the QR? You could scan your way to $15 in free BTC, and the chance to win $3,000,000 - Link: https://lnkd.in/eCV7mtDF #coinbase #crypto #superbowl
I found myself wondering what the server traffic load looked like for the destination URL of this QR code. There’s a real interesting story here in all the work that had to be done to prepare for the traffic spike this generated; would love to see a breakdown of the results of this campaign. If it really did move the needle, we may start to see a LOT more ads with these codes floating around the screen. This may be an inflection point in how ads are done (finally getting us to the long promised “Buy Jennifer Anniston’s Sweater App” that pops up every year at CES and the network upfronts).
Got our team talking about it in the office. If that’s not the point of advertising, don’t know what is.
This Super Bowl was a massive step forward for mainstream crypto adoption
Yeah man! Well done. #cryptobowl. Could you look into my app history? I’m not going to give up. Starting NFT client work this week.
I had to pause it and run upstairs to grab my phone 🏃💨
The QR code was blurry and hard to scan. I think it was poorly executed for the money they spent.
I hope this was a play on The Office episode with the DVD logo finally making it into the corner of the TV.

2yI wasn’t a fan. Maybe it’s the security professional in me. Aren’t we all training (and being trained) not to click on things when we don’t know what it is or who it’s from?
