Something I'm very passionate about - company culture. Your company culture will make or break your business. It's as simple as that. And, if you haven't been prioritising it thus far, then please use this as your reminder to do so! What else do you think makes a healthy company culture? Is there anything missing? 💔The Greatest Thing That Changes Company Culture is Whether, 💔Management Sees Themselves As Bosses Or As Leaders 💔How Comes This Advice is Not Taken? 💔 Why Do We Hear, Be A Leader Not A Boss Again and Again! 💔Yet We Don't Change, Yet We Lead The Same Again and Again! 💔The Hidden Reason Behind This Is One Critical Factor. 👉 We are leading in the knowledge age, with industrial age ideas. 👉In the industrial age workers were not special, they were hands. 👉One worker could easily be replaced by other manual workers. 👉Now in the knowlege economy, people are different. 👉People are hired to bring in their strengths. 👉Sadly the memo didn't reach everyone. 👉Some leaders treat them like before. 👉They treat them like things. 👉Not Talented People. 👉What do you do with things? 👉You supervise them endlessly. 👉You micromanage them 24/7. 👉You treat them all the same.

Embracing diversity, respect and integrity..

Excellent points! I believe a true sign of a healthy company culture is when contributors (a term I prefer to 'employees') feel a deep sense of belonging. They can bring their authentic selves to work, with varying levels of energy, enthusiasm, and sensitivity, without the need to hide. Open communication allows everyone's strengths to be recognized and leveraged, making each person feel like an integral part of the whole. In such an environment, a relatively flat hierarchy, where an assistant can be in the same room as the CEO and feel comfortable expressing their opinion, is possible. This creates a level of commitment in contributors that often rivals that of investors.

People can express anything but if they don't feel that they are being listened to they soon lose motivation.

I don’t think this goes far enough actually 🤔 People are listened to and given feedback when they express their honest opinions. People have room to try new things and fail. People have authority within their roles and are supported to make sound decisions. People treat each other with kindness and respect. People trust the organisation to have their back People seek win/wins and celebrate with each other People feel valued as an equal part of the team People are heard and responded to when they ask for help.

I really like these. I'd say that one key ingredient that is often missing is a sense of having skin in the game. I believe that employees will work better if they feel personally invested in the success of a company. The job isn't just something they log onto at 9am and log off from at 5pm. I appreciate though that instilling this into employees may be easier said than achieved!
