It's all well and good calling for "wider lessons" of the past to be learnt, but calling for this demands not passing over some lessons and applying others inconsistently in ways to suit one's convenience. An example of each of these phenomena from this Times' leader: First, an example of not applying a lesson consistently. The Times 'thunders' today... "The abiding lesson of the Second World War is that the appeasement of territorial aggression merely whets its appetite." Where is and has this noise been over the previous days, weeks, months, years or decades on appeasing Israeli territorial aggression? Second, an example of an inconvenient lesson quietly overlooked... As recognised expressly in international law made in the aftermath of that war - people who need seek asylum from persecution and conflict cannot be left dependent on prior permission to cross borders and the responsibility to receive and protect these people must be shared by all nations. The migrant movement is not only taking place in North America but in Western Europe, too. Our leaders colluded (obviously) on the same “Build Back Better “ agenda that has caused the west to weaken. Now if you are voting for Kamala Harris or the like her in Europe or Canada, you are either naive or a communist. If you think you are not a communist but don’t like Trump, RFK or anyone else running for President of these United States, contact me. I want to know why a LinkedIn user would vote for to keep killing America with mass migration, high inflation and spending along with government growing bigger. This is not the America way. We have a opportunity to slow it down by voting for Trump. Why would you want to squander that away to someone promising free money when she could have given you free money there and a half years ago? I’m also curious to know how your business was in 2019 compared to now. Let’s talk. Not trying to debate I want to talk. Let’s be civil and have a discussion. 🇺🇸

One man’s terrorist, another man’s freedom fighter. The government continues its seems to ignore the optics of uncontrolled illegal immigration and illegal migration into the UK and EU. The man making the comments is on the balance of probability echoing what the majority of people in this country are seeing or saying, with the exception of it seems this and previous goverments. The critical issues : Men of fighting age The numbers The government and internal security services either reluctant or incapable of processing through either breaches in the rule of law approach (as seen with the immigration cases published won on appeal for the same mistakes) For a secure society there are three cornerstones that a democratic government has to be capable of: 1:Adherance to the rule of law and good governance of its public officials 2: Protection of its borders and communities 3:Promote and maintain economic stability and development within its borders. Do you think this is being done by previous or our current government? Do you think that this government is more focused on silencing the public than tackling the problem of illegal immigrants, that they are of males of fighting age, that they are a security risk due to their failure of intercepting and processing the boats? Will the Governments effort of face tracking rioters and the manner they are attacking social media comments instead of showing that the issues of concern are being addressed (Illigal immigration and Migration for the UK public now becoming the most important issues along side crime) is the way forward? What the Government does or doesn’t do has an impact on businesses and staff.

Strident defense of the need to honour the War Powers Act. "The War Powers Resolution 1973 (also known as the War Powers Act) provides for the president to consult, report and terminate deployment of armed forces with the approval of Congress. Presidents have not always followed this Act. Courts have failed to uphold its legality, the US Supreme Court especially has been reluctant to take on cases which deal with it, regarding it as a political rather than judicial issue."
