Exciting times at Cummins! Today, we had the pleasure of hosting trade journalists from across the UK and Europe at our newly opened Powertrain Test Facility in Darlington. Our guests got an exclusive look at our state-of-the-art facility, which stands as a pinnacle of innovation in power technology development. Our new facility is equipped to test and refine a diverse range of power solutions, from the latest generation diesel, natural gas, and hydrogen capable fuel agnostic combustion engine platforms to hydrogen fuel cells and battery electric powertrains, supporting our journey towards Destination Zero. A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this day a success. Exciting news from Cummins! Last week, we revealed our new robotic driver, VERA (Virtual Engineer Robotic Assistant), at Manor Community Academy in Hartlepool. The name VERA, chosen by Summer from Manor Community during STEMFest Tees Valley. Our new Powertrain Test Facility in Darlington, a £13 million investment, will drive innovation across diesel, natural gas, hydrogen, and electric powertrains with the help of VERA.
