Are people who are thin are healthy, whereas those who are live with obesity are not? Actually, No. This is misconceptions about obesity in which the idea is that the skinny people are healthy and who live with obesity are not. It's important to remember that health is not entirely based on body weight, regardless of the fact that obesity is clearly linked to an increased risk of several health issues, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. Just as there are many people live with obesity who are metabolically healthy and do not have any health problems, there are many skinny people who have bad health habits and may be at risk of developing health issues. Is there a chance that People with Obesity are metabolically health?! The Answer is yes, some people are living with obesity but they are metabolically healthy; what do we mean by that is: 50% of people with obesity are metabolically healthy when healthy is defined as the absence of the metabolic syndrome, Whereas only approximately 5% are metabolically healthy when healthy is defined as the absence of any metabolic syndrome components and normal insulin sensitivity assessed by HOMA-IR. #fact_2 #obesity #adiposity_based_chronicdisease #awareness #misconceptions #worldobesityday
