Generative AI has seen a new shift for 3D. The Reddit communities have been buzzing with the creation of Stable Projectorz- a software that will do your 3D asset texturing for you. It is developed by Igor Aherne, a game developer on the Unity3D platform. Stable Projectorz operates similarly to Midjourney, allowing users to input positive and negative prompts. It then utilizes these prompts to generate textures. The software projects an image created via stable diffusion from the camera view, texturing the visible part of the model. A masking tool is included for in-painting the untextured areas, resulting in a complete texture. Users can export the texture map for further refinement in programs like Photoshop. However, the software requires a dataset or a pre-trained model, which users must provide independently or through resources like Civitai. That is not to say that it is the future and such software has no implications. If we take note of the Reddit threads, it can be said that this software might hamper the livelihood of 3D artists. Based on our preliminary usage, we anticipate that Stable Projectorz will evolve to significantly enhance the creation of 3D assets. Are you upscaling your renders with AI? We're about to launch our Hand Elements 3D model pack over on Visune. Not only is this the first time we've ventured into human anatomy, it's the first time we're publicly recommending AI upscaling to inject realism into the shots. This comparison demonstrates the power of AI upscaling. In this example using the amazing Magnific AI. Here's the process: - Render high resolution from KeyShot - Downscale the image to 720p (this gives Magnific lots of headroom to work its magic) - Upload to Magnific and upscale 4x - Composite original render and Magnific output in Photoshop Our 3D models give you huge amounts of control in the composition and provide the upscaler with lighting and tone references to build on. From importing the hand model to exporting the edit, this was a 20-minute process. And whilst not perfect, is about as efficient you can get for bringing life into your visuals. #keyshot #render #productdesign #industrialdesign #design #3d #ai
