The term "audax" comes from Latin, meaning "bold" or "courageous," perfectly capturing the spirit of these challenging events. Originating in France, audax events, or brevets, emphasise the journey and personal achievement over competition. Riders follow a set route and must finish within a time limit, but there's no race to the finish line. Results are listed alphabetically, not by who finished first. Ready to take on the challenge?
