Think of your career as a company: You, Inc. You are the CEO. Don't be passive. Don't sit back and let things happen to you. Take charge and ownership of your career. Lead your company to success! This is how I approach my career, and it's one of the key lessons I share with the countless entrepreneurs and operators I talk to. JR Butler and I discussed this and more on Shift Group's latest podcast: https://lnkd.in/erzByAEG

“Model the rise, not the plateau” - Alex Hormozi Listening to a podcast episode with Alex and Lewis Howes, I heard this little gem. He makes a very compelling point, too many people are trying to model the wrong thing in people who have been “successful”. Modelling is a great tool - look at someone who is doing what you wish to do and learn from their mistakes so you don’t have to make the same ones, thus expediting the process. Sounds simple. Yet most people tend to model the success, not the journey. They pay too much attention on the wrong thing. Have a listen to the podcast and tell me what you think>> https://loom.ly/rDspou0

Great new episode of Lifetime at Work podcast... Engineering is a path many take, but how do you build a career? For Zach White, owner of Oasis of Courage, the math was the easy part, it was all the job stuff and understanding the world of work, and himself, that was hard. In this episode, Zach and Greg get into the go-go culture of a new job, and how moving up the ladder isn't everything. There's lots to learn about ourselves through the world of work. Listen and subscribe on Apple podcast, Spotify or any major platform. #engineering #burnout and #career

Mr. Pranav Thakkar (CA, CFA), A well-articulated post which places due emphasis on hard work, diligence, perseverance, and sustained efforts. Compounding takes time and is not an overnight process. Whether it is building a strong personal brand online, sustaining a regular reading habit, or persevering with your investments, disregarding all the noise around, the key is to be patient. Patience and discipline are the two principal cornerstones to enjoy the benefits of compounding. The following two examples should easily drive home the point. ✅ Think rationally for a moment, without any biases or emotions, about the game of investments. It takes years and years of a cool head, patience, and perseverance to earn meaningful returns amidst several business cycles and adverse economic conditions. ✅ As far as content writing is concerned, it should be understood that content creation, on the face of it, appears glamorous, but is indeed a laborious and painstaking activity, requiring hours, days, and even years of dedicated efforts, research, and due diligence. It requires the human and personal element to make a message that much more appealing to the target audience.

"What you do when nobody is watching will determine what you can do when everybody is watching"-- These words from Harsha Bhogle stuck with me, in a recent podcast with R Ashwin. There is a lot of time, efforts and energy that goes behind building everything. Be it a business, a successful job, studying for a course. There is nothing like overnight success. Overnight success is merely a perception of what people believe and see, but in fact, it is a collaborated compounded efforts of countless sleepless night.
