𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 As a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa, my journey with the club over the past 45 years has been nothing short of a rollercoaster of emotions. From the dizzying heights of winning the old First Division and securing the European Cup in the early eighties—a feat equivalent to today's Premiership and Champions League victories—to experiencing the ups and downs that have followed, my commitment has never wavered. However, this weekend, amidst what many would call a golden era of performance for our team, I was struck by the fickleness of fans over the outcome of a single game, one of 38 in a season. This reaction prompted me to draw parallels with the financial advisory sector. In both football and finance, performance is often scrutinised on a game-by-game or quarter-by-quarter basis. Yet, the true measure of success, be it for a football club or a financial advisory firm, cannot be assessed in isolation of a single poor performance or result. Just as a team works tirelessly throughout a season to achieve its goals, financial advisory companies invest considerable effort and resources to navigate the complexities of the market and deliver value to their Advisors and thus their clients. The question then arises: What is an acceptable level of performance? The answer is not black and white. It requires a nuanced understanding of the context, strategy, and long-term objectives. For financial advisers contemplating a move or assessing their company's performance, it's crucial to look beyond the immediate results. Consider the broader strategy, the leadership's vision, the firm's adaptability to change, and its commitment to clients' long-term success. As we support our teams through thick and thin, may we also extend the same consideration and depth of analysis to our professional judgments in the financial advisory world. Hey there, I wanted to shed some light on how we operate at the Generational Wealth Academy with a millionaire mindset. One of the key principles we follow is that we don't pay for trophies, plaques, or awards. Let me explain what this means. Many times, various organizations want to nominate Kennedi and Caden for different accolades and awards, but they often require a fee for us to participate. While we are truly honored and grateful for the nominations and recognition, we believe that investing in attending these award shows can create an unnecessary expense. Paying fees for multiple award appearances could impact our profits and hinder the growth of our businesses, which is the true measure of success for us. We cherish the recognition, but we also realize that the money could be better deployed back into our businesses, allowing us to continue growing exponentially.
