After more than 10 attempts, I finally emerged victorious. I expected to be on cloud nine, but instead, I found myself in deep introspection. Our team, Unity, bagged first place at Hack4Purpose, organised by TRYST, IIT Delhi, Health Parliament, Kalyan Jewellers India Limited, and OpenGrowth, for our project, Spark. I've been a hackathon enthusiast since my first year. With limited technical expertise but an unwavering passion for leveraging tech for change, I was driven to craft innovative, impactful solutions to real-world problems. Each time my team didn’t win, I took a step back, reflected on our mistakes, learned from them, and came back stronger.  It would be a lie if I said I wasn’t hurt. For a long time, we were stuck at top 10, top 5, runner-up, or best innovation positions, but never the top spot. Yet, every near-miss fueled my determination to try again, in the hope, I would eventually figure it out. With every iteration, I evolved—exploring new tech stacks, delving into various domains and tackling diverse challenges. This time, however, was indeed different. We weren’t just aiming to build a high-profile tech-savvy project; we were driven by a problem statement so close to our hearts. Our research revealed a gap—no such tech solutions in the public domain—which made the challenge more daunting but also inspired us to push forward. We believed in our vision and when we stood triumphant, we knew Spark was not just another hackathon project on GitHub. We wanted to turn it into a real product. Heartfelt gratitude to our judges Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, Reyansh Gupta and Rishikesh Kalyan —not only for their invaluable feedback during the hackathon but also for their continued support as we took Spark beyond the localhost. Stay tuned as our team embarks on this journey to empower neurodivergent learners through immersive and inclusive education ⭐ PS: At the end of the event, I had the chance to attend a fireside chat with Mr. Amit Jain, where I expressed my self-doubt about choosing this unconventional path. His advice was simple yet profound: persistence and perseverance are the keys to achieving anything in life.

In the past, I learned that in order to remain competitive and foster growth, one must continuously challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone, even amidst a busy schedule where time may seem scarce. While Generative AI surrounds us, there's often a tendency to stick to traditional methods. I first recognized this during my initial year of army service when my basic DOS program for documents creation was replaced with a Mac. Despite the Mac's capability to generate comprehensive graphical documents, it frequently crashed. So, for several more months, I reverted to using the DOS program to prepare my documents till my commander remove it from my desktop and didn't have other choice to use new generation software. Today, I find myself grappling with a similar dilemma regarding GenAI. Can it be trusted more than established procedures honed over years of experience? These methods, while proven, still necessitate human involvement at every step. Stepping out of my comfort zone became imperative, leading me to commit to participating in first Amdocs GenAI Hackathon. To judge effectively, I felt obligated to be more knowledgeable than the participants. Thus, I invested time in expanding my understanding of Generative AI basics, rules and best practices. I also had to meticulously plan for the tight timelines allotted for evaluating numerous projects, which turned out to be unexpectedly filled with very interesting ideas. And of course, to resolve with myself dilemma what projects gets higher criteria achievement. In the end, the experience proved rewarding. We witnessed the creation of interesting projects within remarkably short timeframes. I'm confident that some of these projects will serve as the foundation for larger, more successful endeavors. Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to talk about my participation in the HACKACCINO Hackathon organized by Bennett University. This hackathon featured 5 distinct tracks: AR/VR, Open Innovation, AI/ML, Cloud, and Web 3. My team members Sneha, Rudra Pratap, Saksham Singh, Tanay Gupta and I collaborated to create an innovative solution within a tight timeframe. Our project, Punah Pustak, centered around Open Innovation. Punah Pustak aims to connect students with affordable, high-quality used textbooks to support academic success and environmental sustainability. By encouraging reuse and recycling, we reduce the financial burden of textbooks while lessening the environmental impact of production. Our goal is to democratize education and advocate for a greener future. Though we weren't selected for further rounds, the experience was invaluable. It was a rewarding opportunity to apply my technical knowledge, improve my skills, and network with like-minded peers passionate about technology. WE CAME IN 2ND!!! Over the past week, my team and I participated in India's first GenAI Hackathon conducted by Paras Madan and Team. This was a 7-day hackathon, where we had to build any product which uses GenerativeAI within the span of 7 days. The theme was "By Indians, for the people of India". This competition had India's best AI minds working on their solutions from IITs and employees from Top Companies. We were up against 23 teams from all over India. This made us brainstorm the problem we wanted to solve A LOT. After 80+ hours of coding and sleepless nights of solving never-ending bugs ( that we created) , we finally completed the product end to end (only one part wasn't deployed) We tried and failed, we tried and failed a countless number of times, heck accidentally even uploaded API keys on GitHub publicly! I finally learnt how to use GitHub and AWS s3 buckets as our solution and the complex APIs we used, required us to know cloud storage concepts, which was a pain cause I literally didn't know what I was doing half of the time. remember: if it works......DO NOT TOUCH IT (took 3 hours to fix a bug because I thought I could make that feature better) I would like to immensely thank Vasundhhara Katoch "maam" who led us, Rahul Singh (special thanks for being so helpful) and Shaik Achukatla Aslam Ahammad for being literally the best hackathon team ever! I would love to participate with them in more competitions and come first haha. Can't wait for the goodies we won!!!
