Let's get right into it. ✨️𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟒: 𝐌𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 As a fourth-year pharmacy student, my journey has been both challenging and fulfilling. The demands are high, and without good time management, it is easy to become overwhelmed. However, it is also fulfilling because I am gaining knowledge that will be instrumental in healthcare and ultimately help patients by providing the right services. Throughout this journey, I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people who have been incredibly supportive, even during difficult times. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞... I am particularly excited about exploring the field of cardiology. Let me tell you why. Biology has never been a personal favorite, but knowing myself, I always rise to a challenge. I tackle subjects I don't naturally like and strive to excel in them. That was my attitude towards biology. During this process, I developed a fascination with the heart. I am eager to learn more about it, potentially contributing to the discovery of new cures for rare heart conditions. Additionally, I am interested in integrating technology into pharmacy, particularly through telepharmacy, internet pharmacy and others which would allow pharmaceutical consultations and advisory services to be provided to patients who need them, regardless of their location. #MedStudentLinkedInTribe #ContentCreationChallenge

A Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a bridge between a pharmaceutical company and the medical/scientific community. Let's explore the role of the MSL in more depth! 📌 Acquire Scientific Knowledge: An MSL gathers medical insights from regular field interactions, interprets and communicates scientific trends to colleagues, attends scientific meetings and advisory boards, providing key highlights relevant to the therapeutic area and products. 📌 Relay Scientific Information to HCPs: MSLs present non-promotional approved scientific exchange information related to the safe and effective use of products to KOLs and other stakeholders. 📌 Clinical Research: MSLs develop an understanding of the KOL and affiliated institution’s capability/experience with clinical trials. 📌 Competency and Development: The MSL is responsible for ensuring that they are fully versed in their therapeutic area and up to date on all major studies, competitive product information and clinical data. 📌 Medical Governance: They maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of Medical Governance framework, global and local SOPs, Rx & D and local guidelines. 📌 Participate in Scientific Exchange: MSLs engage in activities conductive to scientific exchange such as advisory boards, continuing professional or medical education events (CPD/CME), medical meetings, and medical forums/summits. 📌 Forming Relationships with Key Opinion Leaders: The MSL develops and implements a KOL engagement plan as part of annual objectives and investigates and develops an understanding of KOL needs. The responsibilities assigned to the MSL role can vary among different companies, as it depends on the specific company's requirements.
