Veteran's Day is this Saturday, November 11th! Check out these terrific resources for helping to make your organization more veteran-inclusive and welcoming. And don’t forget, you can work to build greater veteran inclusion any time of year, not just on Veteran’s Day! Insights, misconceptions, and recommendations from SHRM on embracing veterans in your workplace: https://lnkd.in/eCqykTTH Promising practices that support Veterans in the workplace and include a specific focus on Veterans with mental health difficulties: https://lnkd.in/ePHSyXuc Understanding what veterans bring to the workforce and how to leverage the power of veterans for your organization from military.com: https://lnkd.in/eJQzW7Fp And lastly, here are four specific steps you and your organization can take to support veterans in the workplace: https://lnkd.in/eM_JBvtj Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926, making it an annual observance, and it became a national holiday in 1938. Sixteen years later, then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation changing the name to Veterans Day to honor all those who served their country during war or peacetime. On this day, the nation honors military veterans — living and dead — with parades and other observances across the country and a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. #VeteransDay2023 #VeteranInclusion #DiversityEquityInclusion #DEI #DEIA #DEIB #HelpingPeopleWorkBetterTogether #ManagingPeople #HumanResources #HR #Management #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement

We are proud to serve those who have served. The Antidote was formed by a military Veteran who is no longer willing to sit on the sidelines and watch military members & Veterans continue to be at the top of the leaderboards of all-things-bad --- We have revolutionized the way to support, heal, and empower those who served the United States of America. We do not treat ordinary symptoms with band-aid approaches… we solve extraordinary problems at their core with our unrivaled 3 Phase “Inside-Out” approach with focus on the superpowers of the subconscious mind; eliminating profound challenges such as PTSD, suicide risk, substance abuse, homelessness, and unemployment. Now is the time to stand alongside our military & Veterans and make a generational difference in their lives, which in turn creates generational improvements in the lives of their friends, family, neighbors, teammates, co-workers, and all others they touch. ******How you can help those who have served!? We invite you to take 5 seconds and help us spread the word… many military members, Veterans, and Veterans organizations are not aware of what we do and how we help. We ask you to simply “like” or “comment” (such as share the name of a military member or Veteran who you appreciate) or “share” or “repost” this post to help spread the word. And if you are familiar with a Veterans organization, we’d love to be introduced. We are at-the-ready to help serve those who have served; individuals, teams, organizations, and organizations’ stakeholders. By investing in their post-military well-being and success, we honor their sacrifices while creating resilient bonds and stronger communities for us all. >> You are invited to "Follow" this page for more best practices, solutions to extraordinary problems, exclusive invitations, and free resources. About last night… Another fun evening mingling with veterans in the great City of San Antonio.🫡 It’s called MilCity USA for a reason. Gennaro "Pirate" Mazzeo 🏴☠️, Chris Manning (CNSS), and I got to hangout and talk a lot. These events are great networking opportunities, but also social interactions with friends. #milcitymeetup with Quincy D. Harper Sr. and LAURIE Pimentel-Johnson leading the charge last night was a great success. Sidenote: Dr. Damon Friedman I wore my Operation Red Belt and 💯 Sarah Smith-Barry said she wants one. 🙌 🇺🇸 #texas #networking #militarytransition #veterans The KEY Community

#sustainability #nobelprize I am working hard to get the spies out of the business of global sustainability. Either you do it out in the open, accountably, or get the hell out of dodge. George W. Bush, whose Yale University’s Skull and Bones father George H.W. Bush, the Central Intelligence Agency says is the best CIA Director in the Agency’s history, said after 9/11 about the early Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and secret courts that citizens should have nothing to be concerned if they have nothing to hide. I ask, with the expanding security-industrial complex since 9/11, and classification of documents and classified personnel out of control of the tax payers, what do you have to hide from the American people to whom you officially report in the hierarchy of power in the United States? After about $6 trillion not fully publicly accounted for tax payer financed spending on Afghanistan and Iraq over 22 years, with thousands of Americans dead, maimed, in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Veterans Health, nearly a million Iraqis dead, Abu Ghraib which created ISIS just as the 1953 coup by the MI6/CIA created Islamic terrorism and the Afghan Mujahideen war against the former Soviet Union created Osama bin Laden, Guantanamo torture, NATO expansion created Vladimir Putin, and the ignominious exit of the United States from Afghanistan and Iraq after by some accounts nearly a million Iraqis dead and now Afghans selling their children for food, what do you have to show in a century on global health since the flu pandemic of 2018? COVID? With more than a million Americans dead on American soil, more than in the civil war, COVID is war, genocide, negligence, incompetence, political rabble rousing, misinformation and disinformation officially by the government, corruption, and hubris all rolled into one. Did the infectious diseases experts learn anything in a century or is it scientific pork and reckless experimentation? What does China have on America it appears to be blackmailing the United States on? And now you are marching irresponsibly toward what could be a world war? Is this serving your country? You are Dr. Victor Frankenstein of Mary Shelley's 1818 novel *Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus*, a Swiss scientist who studies chemical processes and the decay of living things, obsessed with creating life and reanimation, studying the works of ancient scientists and alchemists to create the creature you lose control of and scramble to always mop up after becoming Epimetheus under the delusion that you are Prometheus.
Dr. Charles Hutter, Jr. was a physician and joined CIA’s predecessor, the Office of Strategic Services, during #WWII to serve his country. He parachuted into Burma as a member of Detachment 101, the most accomplished #OSS unit in the China-Burma-India Theater. He saved many lives using his medical expertise. The work of Dr. Hutter and OSS physicians like him laid the foundation for today’s Center for Global Health Services, which continues in that same spirit of selfless service, bravery, and commitment to #CIA, its mission, and its people. Learn more about Dr. Hutter and why he became known as, “the only man in Burma with a tie.” https://lnkd.in/dHJxURpB #DoctorsDay #HISTINT

The Tägerwilen II report: 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 Background The Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services (COMEDS) initiated the Prehospital Care Improvement Initiative Task Force (PHCII TF) to advise on how to improve prehospital care within NATO nations. The Task Force consisted of the NATO Military Health Care Working Group and its subordinated expert panels, including the Blood Panel, the Emergency Medicine Panel and the Special Operations Forces Medicine Panel. Method The PHCII TF identified four key prehospital care themes for exploration: 1) Tactical Casualty Care, 2) Blood Far Forward), 3) Forward Surgical Capabilities), and 4) Prolonged Casualty Care. A consensus experimentation workshop explored the four themes, utilizing a modified Delphi technique and Utstein rotations during syndicate work, resulting in 83 consensus statements. The consensus statements were further evaluated on six criteria: actionable, measurable, urgent, interoperability, low risk/threat and impact. Results The 83 consensus statements, when weighted against the six criteria, resulted in 15 recommendations, focusing on standardization of training, ensuring provision of evidence-based practices and removing legislative barriers to improve prehospital care. Conclusion The recommendations on these four themes reflect the most significant priorities in improving prehospital care, and must be incorporated in the on-going revision of NATO doctrine.
