This year, we’ll open the 1000th #SmartBazaar store. I don’t yet know which will be the 1000th store. What I know is, the first store where this idea of SMART started from a 3 page concept note, was at Himmatnagar, near Amdavad. The first store will never change! Firsts are always special: -my 1st store ever @ Nerul NaviMumbai - 1st Foodhall @ Palladium Mall Mumbai - 1st SmartBazaar @ Himmatnagar. - 1st FreshPik at Bandra, Mumbai. Each one, a creation from an idea, a conviction captured on 2 page notes. No ready template used for any of them. Each, created with Indian shopper insights. Creation is a thrill. A delight. And firsts are always special…

My first ever retail store at Nerul, Navi Mumbai. A recent picture with some simple, smart and trusting team members from that venture. I owe a lot of my retail learning to them. (A present day retail tycoon also learnt his craft hands on, at this store, with this team. Back then of course, we thought he was getting to understand and back our creation even more 😃! ) The first, does not change. For anyone🙏🏾.

Congratulations Sir!! 🙏My recent visit to the RCP for a Smart Bazaar meeting and to my left on a 9square feet wall is a wallpaper alike with lots of boxes and rectangles and arrows, a closer look and I realise it’s the SOP for a single store operations written down to the T includes every little detail from opening to closing , emergencies, contingencies, checklists for every situation. My most favourite part of the SOP is the pledge ceremony that forms part of the start of every shift. The journey to 1000th store needs the team to know the vision of the organisation verbatim and I believe a small yet so significant part of it is the pledge ceremony that brings clarity and alignment to every team member at the store. I am having an amazing time learning from the very best and most august at Reliance🙏 Sir.

Hope that happens in our Home Town at Patna. Strech from Saguna More (where Reliance Digital is) to Danapur Railway station is indeed waiting for a Smart Bazar Superstore like one in Himmatnagar. There are plenty of options and among among that is converting Fashion Factory(at Godawari Palace) to Smart Bazar( if we are looking for lower rent and 5x revennue multiple.

Congratulations sir and really inspiring ...since I worked with Reliance retail and was part of Gujarat zone when this concept of Smart stores was getting implemented ...it was really an amazing journey for smart stores and am always proud that I was also part of this extraordinary concept of Smart stores ...

Yesterday day, I was in SmartBazaar. I found staff very supportive in comparison. I like a attitude of even a sweeper, who alphsic (lost voice naturally) was helping me out. I came to know later that he is physically challenged person. Great attitude. Hats-off to Reliance retail for creating such a opportunities for these people without doing much marketing leverage on it & a superb complete translation from manufacturering culture to service based culture.

Any update on Big Bazaar Profit Club Card? All your retail outlets Mumbai/Thane/Nagpur are washing off hands on not offering credits of 7000 - 8000 INR out 11000 INR as promised saying pending post acquisition decision.
