We are celebrating our culture at BTS this month and it caused me to reflect on my BTS journey. I have been at BTS for 27 years— that’s more than half my life spent with one company. I can easily picture myself in my early 20’s, still trying to figure out what I should do when I grow up. I knew that I wanted to work in an environment that valued creative freedom, achievement, entrepreneurship, fun and a big sense of adventure. I knew this was a tall order and my experience in a couple of big company cultures made me think I needed to lower my expectations. Frankly, I didn’t think a culture like this existed in the “real world”. Well, in 1995 I stumbled into an interview with a very small and unknown Swedish consultancy called BTS…and the rest is history. To this day, I am not sure how I got so lucky 27 years ago. How did I serendipitously land at a company with a culture that has been a constant source of joy and positive energy in my life? And the real mind blower: how do hundreds and hundreds of colleagues from tremendously diverse backgrounds, from all corners of the globe, all share a similar affinity for BTS culture? Lots of questions! What I do know for certain is BTS culture is lightning in a bottle. It’s rare. It’s unique, and all of us who work here want to nurture and protect it. And with our culture as the spirit that binds us, we will continue to do what we do best: unleash global collaboration and team work, create growth opportunities for every BTS’er, and passionately serve our amazing clients. #bigheartedandhighperforming #proudbtser #cultureeatsstrategy
