Excited that our team effort (with Anuj Goyal, Stephan Lany, Tadashi Ogitsu, and Tony McDaniel from Sandia National Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and National Renewable Energy Laboratory) on using defect graph neural networks to predict/discover materials for high temperature, clean energy applications is now published in Nature Computational Science. Really happy with the end product and even more enthused to extend the work in a variety of directions. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss. We had such an amazing Pride Month at Ansys! Our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies came together in many ways; we educated ourselves, worked on career development, reflected on health and wellbeing, baked and ate, stayed active, and socialized with one another. Thank you to the 200+ people who joined us both in-person and virtually earlier this week for our panel discussion in celebration of #InternationalWomensDay. The panel discussion, which was organized by the Ansys #WomenInTech Employee Resource Group (ERG), included our very own Mary Beth Clay, Lisa Policastri, Owner, COO, and Principal Engineer at Space Exploration Engineering, and Caitlin Marsh, the Strategic Intelligence Manager at Ball Aerospace. The panelists shared their thoughts on the way ERGs can positively impact company culture and support career growth and advancement in the workplace. They also spent time addressing exciting industry trends within the aerospace, defense, and technology industries. THANK YOU to everyone who joined us, and all of our event organizers. I’m happy to share that I’ve been promoted to Senior R&D Engineer at Ansys! This company has provided me with such amazing opportunities to grow in my career. From developing technical skills in software development, to assuming the role of scrum master, to co-leading our global Pride Allince Employee Resource Group, I cannot express how thankful and lucky I am to work with such inspiring people at a world-class simulations company.
