Over the last couple of weeks I have been talking to a lot of founders from UAE, Saudi and Jordan. The amount of founders that have worked at Careem and then decided to go and build a company around a problem that they experienced themselves or saw as a big opportunity, is astounding. Co-founders testing their relationship and learning from colleagues under pressure, builds incredible teams in an environment that sets them up to be solid founders. This talent pool is what creates ecosystems. No amount of public or private capital that is backing initiatives can be as powerful and churn out as many high quality founders.
