Regardless of your political views, the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump this afternoon was absolutely shocking and disgusting. Violence like this should never be normalized and diminished. Unfortunately, the so-called “main stream media” continues to diminish the seriousness of this horrible event by calling it a “possible” assasination attempt. And early reports had them saying “Trump evacuated after loud noises heard at rally”, etc. The manipulation by the so-called MSM is disgusting and contributes to divisiveness. The videos of what happened were widely spread minutes after the assassination attempt. It was obvious what took place and I’m thankful that former President Trump was not killed but so sorry for the innocent bystander who lost his life and others who were injured. This attached article is one of the only ones that has the guts to call this action what it was: an assassination attempt. Don’t believe me?? Google it. You’ll easily find what I’m talking about. And if you’re not bothered by the obvious manipulation and propaganda, then I’m not sure what to tell you. Again, regardless of your political views, democracies are under attack from a number of angles.

Retrospect… Exactly one week ago today, I was called by Fox News Media and asked to provide commentary on the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump. I discussed what I knew at the time. It wasn’t much. One thing I did know is that an AR-15 platform .556 rifle was used and that the muzzle velocity of that round is approximately 3,200 fps, which at 120 yards drops to around 2,800 fps. Both are well beyond the speed of sound. This meant that former President Trump was hit by the round that struck his ear before he heard the gunshot. Beyond that, much of my commentary was opinion based on a quickly developing set of facts. One thing that hasn’t changed is that our nation deserves better than this. An attempt to kill a former U.S. President and the lead candidate for president of either political party in our country is an abomination. We must condemn those who use divisive rhetoric and try to divide us. It’s unconscionable. We are better than this. Much better.

I've found that all of the surveillance video uploaded to Rumble by the Republican Committee on House Oversight has been uploaded in 20-minute segments; except for camera 7029, showing the interior of the Columbus Doors, which was uploaded in 8 to 9-minute segments. It just so happens that 9-minutes of surveillance video, from 3:20pm to 3:29pm, are missing. Those 9-minutes correspond perfectly with video recorded from two angles outside the doors, by another videographer and myself, showing a federal agent dubbed #CapitolDoorman holding the Columbus Doors open with a pole and pushing protesters inside the Capitol. Our democracy is diminished when bureaucrats are allowed to be unaccountable for their incompetence and their advice and actions or omissions. There was no drone used by security at the Trump Republican Party event, however the shooter flew a drone overlooking the event on more than one occasion. He sequestered a high powered rifle on the roof it seems, which was not picked up in a sweep or surveillance. The American Security Sharp Shooter had the murderer in his scope for 20 minutes and was not given permission to take the terrorist out. Only when the shooter fired at former President Trump did he respond with lethal force, presumably after being given the go ahead to fire. Crooks the shooter reconnoitered the area on foot and incredibly by drone prior to the event, but was not arrested. He had a bicycle, a knapsack and a scope distance finder, which appears to an outsider to be a clear indication that he was up to mischief. The director of the CIA can not remember the sequence of events, who spoke to whom, how many empty bullet cartridges were found on the roof...............seems to know less than an observer of the published footage. Going to a hearing and not being prepared to answer direct questions from elected representatives? This, this right here, is why we have MAGA Republicans, because this isn’t OK! If you are a democrat, left wing, liberal, etc, start policing your own people! Start toning down that rhetoric, start having expectations of civilized behavior. STOP forcing your beliefs on others or running them over if they believe differently than you do, please!

In the wake of the recent assassination attempt on our former President, one of the most clear and present dangers that exists lies the problem that existed long before recent events. More importantly, this problem may have led to this potentially tragic event on July 13 and that is a combination of misinformation rooted in conspiracy theories and divisive rhetoric that causes both infighting and othering which has the potential to lead to even more conflict, polarization, and potentially more harm and violence. As Kyle articulates in this video, there has been a widespread number of internet and social media propaganda and conspiracy theories that have been made and this kind of dialogue is not leading to any resolution or meaningful change that could prevent or mitigate the effects of our current political climate. Instead of blaming and pointing figures, why isn’t there a much bigger conversation around gun control happening in this country? As Kyle alludes to what the shooter’s former classmates said about him, why isn’t there a larger discussion about the psychological impact and the harmful effects of bullying in our society? In addition, could the shooter have been seeking some kind of fame or attention as a motive in selecting our former President as a target?
