Being vulnerable doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. It takes courage to be vulnerable. 🙏🏼
Disagree. Osama bin Laden said it best: “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.” That sums it up. People look to leaders for direction and inspiration, not empathy and vulnerability.
Until your coworkers decide to eat you.
This is the element needed to build trust, and this feeds strongly into all other outcomes.
Totally agree... If a leader leads more than ordering, the work will be more fruitful than ever 😊
Arguably they are the luckiest, if they're able to show real vulnerability without fearing it'll be exploited as it routinely happens to other vulnerable people. Being vulnerable isn't an attitude. It should be a conscious decision we make to show trust to those few who deserve it.
oh wow, and here i thought it to be different!!!! So emotional intelligence is not a bad thing!!!!! Coz i can get emotional about things, and passionate, then sooo excited
Exactly, we are all human beings irrespective of our title, position and grade.
Vulnerability is a vital aspect of leadership because it fosters trust, authenticity, and deeper connections within a team.

2wI can see a range of comments on this post and I wonder if we are all on the same page as to the meaning of vulnerability? A leader who is vulnerable is not a leader who is weak but a leaders who is sipmly comfortable lowering their own water line to share their (other wise invisible) thoughts and feelings. This transparency (or vulnerability) offers emotional connections that are established on authentic "self-truths". It is the resulting connections that create a sense of understanding - and it is that sense of understanding that provides comfort and safety (for the people). And when we feel safe, we act from a place of compassion not defence. In my mind (and experience) vulnerability is a way to say, "this is who I really am: how I feel and how I think" and a way for others to connect and say "ahh, okay - I get it. I see you"
