What has been your favorite part of being an employee at Healthfirst? I joined Healthfirst because I was drawn to its innovative approach to healthcare and its mission to make a real difference in people's lives. The opportunity to work with a high-performing and forward-thinking team was too hard to resist. The best part of working at Healthfirst is the incredible team spirit and the chance to collaborate on projects that truly impact our community. It's inspiring to be part of a company that values both its employees and its mission.   Describe your career journey at Healthfirst and where you would like to see it go? Starting as a Senior Manager and now being promoted to Director of Application Development has not only been exciting, but also a great learning experience. I've grown both professionally and personally, and I'm eager to continue driving innovation and mentoring future leaders at Healthfirst.   What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career? Leading major initiatives that enhanced our operational efficiency and member satisfaction stands out as a highlight. It was a challenging one, but seeing the positive impact it had on our organization was incredibly rewarding. What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter your field? Stay curious and adaptable. Remember, trying and failing is better than not trying at all. The industry is always evolving, so it's important to keep learning and embracing new technologies. Building strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset will also help you thrive in this field.

How should you respond when someone says you made a mistake in taking the job? Yesterday, I had an odd encounter. At the epic CEU event (it was great!), someone told me they think I made a mistake by taking this position. “It’s such a saturated market” they said. My response was “Every category in this industry can be viewed as saturated. Yes, there are plenty of other companies. But everyone has competitors, and everyone has a chance to do business.” I’m not going to say “There’s no such thing as competition”. I think that’s just rephrasing the fact that you don’t need to be scared of competition. But I won’t go to the other extreme either. I won’t look at the large number of therapy companies and stop building up this business. Competitors are a sign that there is business to be had.
