Here is the sad truth about sales in 2024.... Too many salespeople are hiding behind their screens (and this is coming from a social selling trainer!) Obviously LinkedIn, social selling and emails are extremely effective tools (when used right) BUT So is the phone And sometimes... The phone is the quickest and most effective option The best salespeople And I mean the BEST salespeople Use everything Phone Email LinkedIn and everything else Do you agree? Sad part? We created this sales-Frankenstein by telling them that 'enablement tools' were the panacea to good selling. We reap what we sow!

Sales reps don't call prospects because they screen their calls and don't answer the phone anymore (sucks for me, but I understand). You have to a do a combo to have any sort of chance to make contact.

Too soon the Sales Rep will be replaced by AI, the entity that can already do all of the above. However, AI cannot: - Show Up, smile, and shake your hand - Use body language to show sincerity and excitement about the product being sold - Share stories about family, friends, and experiences that create bonds and relatable connections which increase trust - Make a phone call and exude positive energy through words and tone to engage. All sales reps, FIGHT FOR FACETIME, because it is the only time you will have to truly connect with your prospects.

The sad truth about Sales in 2024 is that all the big corporations only care about sales force / crm metrics. They would rather see the sales team waste time doing data entry in the program, so some bean counter / useless roll in Texas can use the useless data entered for analytics to report to the director who is so out of touch with how to actually grow revenue. Sales is no longer Sales - it’s data entry hit your “X” amount of calls per month. The metrics set up by these corps is garbage, no quality or value added for customers anymore.

In this day and age with all the spam calls out there I've set my phone to automatically decline any incoming calls from numbers not in my phonebook. So this specific customer will 100% prefer emails over calls if someone want's to sell me something. Send me a mail/PM/SMS explaining the purpose of you contacting me and I'll get back to you if I'm interested. Just calling someone out of the blue is just plain annoying

As someone who is wanting to buy, I’d like to speak to a sales representative. Not be asked if I filled in their online form? Yes I did and I also emailed your generic [email protected]. The reason I am calling as I got no response to either. So can I speak to your sales person. Then to get the response ‘can you fill in form again and email the Sales@ again some one will get back to me you’ No! That is why I am calling. Do you want my business or not. It seems the only sales people that call you are the ones you already told you don’t want their product

Most buyers: "I prefer to get emails as I can answer them in my own time" Sales manager: "Who cares what the buyer wants?... I want KPI's hit and dials made"
