Did you know that LED drivers can automatically adjust their output to counter the LED's as their light output depreciates!! This is what is known as Constant light output or CLO, A CLO luminaire compensates for light depreciation using a programmable driver incrementally increasing its output current over time to balance LED depreciation. The driver is programmed at around 80% of its full capacity meaning that once the LED boards start to degrade the program inside the driver reacts by increasing the wattage that is sent to the LED boards. This means that if a Luminaire is rated to L80 at 50,000 hrs - meaning that after 50,000 hours the luminaire is operating at 80% of its original lumen output - then after the 50,000 hrs has concluded the LED driver will have automatically adjusted to ensure that the same light levels have been achieved throughout the entire period. This ensures that the luminaire operates at L100, there will be no visible light depreciation after 50,00 hours, this saves time and money maintaining your lighting system. The common understanding is that buildings need a Dali dimming system to ensure that the lighting can be dimmed up to counter for the losses in light output but with CLO you don't need to do anything, the technology will do it for you. LED fade using PWM with Arduino Uno: 𝖯𝖶𝖬 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗈𝗋𝗒: In order to control the actual brightness of the led we will send it PWM signal . LED fading using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is a technique where the LED's brightness is varied by rapidly turning it on and off, with the ratio of on-time to off-time (Duty cycle) determining the perceived brightness. By changing this ratio smoothly 0(low) to 255(high). Some Real-time applications where PWM LED fading is used include: 1)Lighting systems:LED dimming in architectural lighting, indoor/outdoor illumination, and automotive lighting. 2)Display system:Backlight dimming in LCD panels, LED billboards, and electronic signage. 3)Consumer Electronics: Dimming indicators, status LEDs, and decorative lighting in home appliances and gadgets. 4)Automotive Applications: Dashboard illumination, interior ambient lighting, and brake lights. 5)Industrial Automation: Process control indicators, status indicators in machinery, and safety lighting. Gaming and Entertainment: mood lighting, and stage lighting.
