✨ Day 17 of my #30days challenge with TechXper Exploring the depths of etcd! 🌟Today, I Experienced the intricacies of etcd, a distributed key-value store that forms the backbone of many distributed systems. One of the most fascinating aspects is its role in maintaining strong consistency in distributed environments, ensuring that all nodes in a cluster have the same data at any given time. I learned about etcd's Raft consensus algorithm, which is instrumental in achieving fault tolerance and data consistency. This algorithm elegantly handles leader election and log replication, ensuring that the distributed system remains operational even in the face of node failures. Moreover, etcd's simple HTTP/JSON API makes it incredibly versatile and easy to integrate into various applications. Its ability to store configuration data, service discovery information, and coordination data makes it a valuable tool for building reliable and scalable distributed systems. Excited to continue exploring etcd's capabilities and integrating it into my projects! Stay tuned for more insights from my #30dayschallenge . #Techxper #etcd #distributedsystems #raftconsensusalgorithm

Today’s soapbox presentation is themed, Discrimination’. In a mindful yesterday, the interview for position was Always conducted by the most Seasoned employee within the department. Someone who can and does actually perform the job with aWorking Knowledge’ of the positions dynamics and skills. Someone who, in spite of the candidate’s badges, sashes and toilet-paper degrees conferred by agencies designed to hypothesize rather than accomplish and effectuate, would test the candidates practical understanding, potential for competency and then decide fitness. Culture second. A well-run operation finds its own peace in the satisfaction of success. Now Bubba, not such a looker, and a limited vocabulary within the nomenclature of the subject, thingamajiggy kinda fella, has no badges, sashes or degrees but he dang well has a more definitive understanding than Todd. Human Resources and management have trashed the hiring process in the corporate world. Small businesses have the home court advantage.
