The day finally arrived : LEO Academy Trust and Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith launched their full report 'Changing Learning, Changing Lives - What Happens When EDTECH Becomes Pedtech?'. This pioneering study (carried out aross 10 schools, 600 documents and 4,500 pupils) gives us the language to articulate the impact of technology on teaching and learning, in a quantifiable way. Some of those metrics include: 🌟 Digital tasks increase classroom efficiency by 23%, allowing the repurposing of time for targeted and inclusive learning. 🌟 Reduction in worksheet printing saves approximately 400 trees per year, equating to roughly £78 per child per year. 🌟 Teacher capacity repurposed as a result of moving from paper-based to digital tasks equates to 11 full time members of staff across the MAT. 🌟 15,000 digital badges haved been achieved by Leo children, and 75% of staff have certified digital skills. It was great to hear directly from the students and their teachers about how access to digital learning has enabled students to be independent and curious learners.
