Earlier this year, our Chair and CEO Chuck Robbins along with other global leaders signed the Rome Call for AI Ethics, solidifying our collective commitment to the responsible development of AI. This week, it was my honour to represent Cisco and speak at the "AI Ethics for Peace: World Religions commit to the Rome Call" ceremony in Hiroshima, Japan, which further underscored the importance of united effort from governments, religious leaders, multinational corporations, and various institutions to shape a global framework for Responsible AI. AI has the potential to create a more inclusive world, but its development needs a responsible approach. Cisco is proud to align with the Rome Call for AI Ethics, which resonates deeply with our conviction to develop technology based on trust, to power an inclusive future for all. This commitment to ethical principles is the cornerstone of our vision for AI. Our commitment to human rights has steered our AI initiatives towards transparency, fairness, accountability, reliability, and security. This dedication is matched by our efforts in education and skills development, ensuring that our communities are well-prepared for the AI era. It’s always great to return to Singapore and be greeted by this at immigration. I love how Cisco is leaning in to deliver nextgen #AI Infra, as well as leveraging predictive & generative AI across our portfolio to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and deliver more innovation.

When Kartika Prihadi and Bee Kheng Tay told me that they were going to kick off our first "Coffee and Byte" sessions at our Singapore office, I was looking forward to being a part of it. These sessions are all about creating connections—keeping our amazing partners in the loop on the latest breakthroughs and market strategies. Fantastic to attend the Cisco Innovation Day for IOH (PT. Indosat Tbk) this week and participate in the Commitment Board ceremony with Vikram Sinha and Bayu Hanantasena - a testament to the shared dedication and commitment we all have towards shaping Indonesia's digital future. We've accomplished so much together, from delivering cutting-edge secure connectivity solutions to Managed Service Providers to developing cybersecurity expertise; it is inspiring to see how these efforts, powered by the latest technologies, are making an impact on Indonesia. A big part of our partnership revolves around Secure Networking, which ensures customers' digital platforms are robustly protected against evolving threats and aligns perfectly with Indosat's larger purpose of accelerating Indonesia's digital transformation. The power of partnership- empowering our partners, we ultimately empower the customers we serve together. But our work goes beyond security. We're constantly pushing the boundaries with new technologies and advancements, such as Cisco & Splunk, Hypershield, etc. This opens up incredible opportunities to better serve our customers, especially as their habits and business models continue to evolve in this digital-first world. With Hypershield, Cisco prioritizes staying ahead in cybersecurity innovation leveraging AI. As Jeetu Patel points out, the power of HyperShield comes from its ability to operate at machine scale. Much like a tireless employee, it detects threats and runs updates in a company's digital twin before deploying them in zero downtime—all without human intervention. These advancements are setting new standards in how we detect threats and protect networks, ensuring businesses can navigate the digital landscape securely.

Absolutely loved spending this week in the region with our CEO Chuck Robbins visiting two amazing countries: South Korea and Japan, and bringing it all together with a virtual APJC town hall attended by +5000 employees! Having Chuck share his top of mind and celebrate the team's successes and efforts was a tremendous boost. Thanks to the teams for making this week truly impactful with insightful meetings with government officials and key customers to discuss the latest technological advancements and Cisco's role in driving successful outcomes. To thrive, they must innovate, fortify security, and embed digital resilience into their DNA. However, achieving this level of readiness requires agility. Organizations must navigate multi-cloud environments, harness the full potential of data, and stay ahead of real-time risks. Each challenge poses an opportunity to grow stronger and more resilient. Looking ahead to 2027, it's reasonable to assume that even more of the world will be digitized — most of it, in fact. In such a world, the most successful organizations will have figured out how to accelerate innovation velocity and quality to differentiate their customer experience, which is where AI will be centerstage. And what's even more exciting is that more and more organizations are releasing the golden opportunity that lies in the use of AI. The recent Cisco Readiness Index points towards a shift in this direction. By leveraging AI and analytics as a competitive advantage, organizations are able to expedite decision-making, enhance user experiences, and catalyze greater digital sustenance. As we look ahead to the future, one thing is certain: the opportunities are boundless for those willing to invest in AI readiness and embrace the transformative power of technology.
