David Simon’s Post

Reflecting on my experience at Cannes last year, I found myself questioning the hype around the arrival of “AI revolution” for marketers and publishers outside of the walled gardens. Like many of you, I left the event feeling more confused than enlightened. The buzzwords were there, but the practical applications for marketers, agencies and publishers seemed elusive. In short, I was underwhelmed. Yet, amidst the marketing noise in our industry, everyday we see shining examples of AI’s transformative powers - from content creation to research to creative writing. It’s clear that AI is reshaping industries, yet the open internet advertising landscape remains largely unchanged. Aside from the walled gardens, most of the ads we see today were created and delivered the same way they have been for the past 50 years. It’s not hard to conclude that we in the advertising space are simply missing the opportunity to create new and unique value with this new AI technology. After Cannes 2023, we returned with a mission: demystify the potential of AI in advertising. We’ve honed in on the opportunities and requirements for success and we’re eager to share our insights with you.  Check out this video for a primer on our approach and let’s connect at Cannes 2024 to delve deeper into how AI can revolutionize your advertising strategy. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to create new and unique value. (Bonus: there may be rosé at said meeting)
