We had the tremendous privilege to work with Chick-fil-A for its first ever pop-up in Asia, and last week, after months of planning, it finally happened! There were literally tears (of joy) from our team as everything came to life. (“It’s happening. IT’S HAPPENING!” said someone) Pop-ups aren’t new, and are famous for their queues. But for Chick-fil-A, the challenge wasn’t just about serving up its great Original Chicken Sandwich. It was about serving guests smiles alongside a great meal. Which meant the challenge of figuring out a way to not have the pop-up turn into a queue-fest and ensuring that guests got a wonderful dine-in experience as well. The solution (from our very smart partners Light Years): a virtual queue and mechanics that we fine tuned together to ensure that even those queuing would be well taken care of. I think the results speak for themselves. For us, the best result was the happy guests who walked away experiencing Chick-fil-A hospitality.
