As a graphic designer, taking a vacation is not just a luxury - it's a necessity! Living in a world that's perpetually plugged in, we often forget to unplug ourselves. This can lead to burnout, stifling our creativity and preventing us from delivering our best work. If you're a senior designer who believes your sole responsibility is crafting designs and not mentoring juniors on your team - you are wrong. You're missing a critical aspect of your role. What truly makes you an effective senior designer is your ability to nurture raw talent and empower your team to bring the best ideas to life. You know what I’ve always wondered? How do you classify yourself as a Junior, Midweight or Senior Designer? Where is the line of transition from one, to the other and then the next? I’ve only been doing this 2.5 years. Does that make a junior by default? Do my 22 years of age mean I’m too told to be a junior? Too young to be Midweight? I have no idea! I’m making my way, on my own, learning as much as I possibly can to hone my skills. Will I always be a junior designer? Are my skills already Senior-level? I don’t think so, but I don’t KNOW so.
