Exposing the untold key to resilience. Ready? It's 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿. You just have to laugh my friend. No one talks about this. ✗ its not an ice bath at 5 am ✗ its not listening to a podcast ✗ its not training for an ironman ✗ its not tracking your macros and protein ✗ its not even reading 30 books on the subject And whilst I DO love the benefits of all of the above (except the ironman - that sh*t is insane, although the participants, delicious) What will get you through ANY challenge is your ability to LAUGH Your ability to find the humor Your ability to see the absurdity in ↛  an over-reactive response ↛  the face someone makes ↛  a passive aggressive email ↛  a grown  adult having a full on temper tantrum😂  ↛  the needle in a haystack task you've just been given at work We live in a crazy world with a lot of chaos and a lot of.....insanity (don't even get me started on American politics atm) But if you can find the lightness in it, if you can giggle at the insanity you will find your way through. 👉And here's the other benefit When you laugh WITH someone else You are bonded for life. There is an instantaneous connection. 👉The Lesson Laughter will buoy you through any storm. I promise. 👉Tip: Tonight before watching some dark, hypnotic series on Apple TV (dios mio, they are good, Defending Jacob! Presumed Innocent!) STOP And flip on a comedian (like Trevor Noah, Taylor Tomlinson, Michael McIntyre, =genius!) Laugh before you fall asleep. The impact on your subconscious, your brain waves and your stress... will be tremendous. Try this for 5 days And let me know how you feel.  *************** I could've written a serious post today about ultra productivity or an interview hack but I decided to have some fun and take a risk and hopefully make you smile. I think people need more laughter atm. I think they need that more than anything. And if I am wrong, 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵. *************************************** ➕Follow for more ♻️ Repost if this made you smile. ✍️ let me know in the comments a comedian you love !

📌📌📌Really good article by the Mayo Clinic on the stress relief benefits of laughter - there are numerous biochemical, physical and mental benefits to just having a GOOD laugh - here's the science to back it up: https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/stress-management/in-depth/stress-relief/art-20044456

As some one who has been accused of "smiling" too much. I love to laugh and smile. Your comment about the triathlon is spot on!!! But in reality our internal ability to laugh in the sight of danger. tough decisions, tough discussions, tough situations, allows us to find perspective. It is not about disrespect and there are times and places for all somberness and discretion, but having a "laughing" or "jovial" attitude can be done with all that in mind. Thanks Dawn Marie Lamonica, JD for this great perspective.

Dawn Marie Lamonica, JD, love the laughter prescription! It's like emotional Prozac, but way cheaper and no weird side effects (unless you count snort-laughing in public). But let's be real, some days even laughter feels like a heavy lift. So how about we add a chaser of compassion and a shot of "it's okay not to be okay"? But seriously, laughter is the language of the soul, a universal expression of joy, resilience, and the absurdity of the human condition. Thank you for the post !

Dawn Marie Lamonica, JD please to read (laugh) at a post that: 1. Promises to 10x anything 2. Wants to see how my emotions are (they are fine) 3. Tries to sell me services (2 seconds after sending a connection request) More laughter is THE tonic

Absolutely Dawn Marie Lamonica, JD! Throughout the different positions I was in at the financial companies, we resorted to laughter quite a bit because it kept us from crying in certain moments. 😆 And you’re so right, it helped bond us, we became a tighter team, knew we could get through anything together, and didn’t take much personally.
