There are some campaigns that get universal support and others that divide opinion. Humanise is fundamentally about improving our built environment for the better, about enriching the experience of those who use buildings, as well as those who pass by them. Reinstating a sense of civic pride. That’s something I can get behind. The finger pointing -in the book- at architects and at modernism may be simplistic but if we can look past this there is merit in us engaging in a debate about how to improve the expression of our buildings for the purpose of improving our mental health, our environment and our cultural advancement. I’ve contributed an opinion piece to Heatherwick studio campaign arguing that our necessity to address the climate and ecological emergency can actually help us design in a way that enriches our buildings and improve how they look. Read it here and join in, react, provoke or challenge. Humanise.org

Lens Urban Project | January 19, 2024 The Danish word "ensrettet" means one-way. When we communicate with someone, we tend to focus (much more) on what we say than how someone feels and responds. That means communication, which is supposed to flow in two directions, flows in one direction. "I say. You listen." Let's stop doing this to make our communication better. #LensUrbanProject
