In this role, you will be responsible for completing member service requests such as verification of deposits, statement audits, check deposits as well as assisting members and front-line staff with questions pertaining to those processes. The DCU Internship Program is a highly immersive experience, offering interns hands on involvement in daily operations and organizational initiatives. What makes a branch successful? Just ask Michelle Kile, DCU’s Vice President of Branch Services! On Monday, June 24, Michelle spoke at the Future Branches Conference in Boston about what credit unions and banks should consider when developing their branch strategies. When expanding branch networks, institutions should consider the value a new branch would bring to the surrounding community and the service level that will best fit members’ needs, according to Michelle. Taking it a step further, institutions should start thinking about designing the branch of the future and what exactly that means. These branches prioritize visibility, the role of branches in a digital-first landscape, modular design, and conveniences like parking and drive-up services. At the end of the day, branch success can’t happen without listening to members and understanding how they engage with their financial institution. At DCU, we pride ourselves on always putting our members first, and Michelle helped spread that message!

DCU continued our community partnership with MassChallenge by celebrating their 2024 FinTech Program Showcase and Finale in Boston. The fintech cohorts gathered to share their innovations covering a range of areas, from financial education to artificial intelligence, and DCU got a front-row seat! DCU’s experience as a community partner to MassChallenge has helped us further our innovation goals, allowing us a glimpse at the emerging technological advancements in the financial services industry. In Boston, we got to hear the cohorts talk about their startups and corresponding use cases. Some of the financial-related innovations included software that provides an interactive holistic view of household finances, a no-code platform for customer workflow automation in financial services, and a web-based application that teaches financial decision-making to college students. Our partnership with MassChallenge has given us valuable insights and enabled us to connect with several bright fintech innovators.
