Building on a deep commitment to supporting women on their leadership journey, EnableComp hosted a Women's only reception at the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) 2024 conference. At this unique event, the company created a space where women leaders could share professional advice, strengthen personal connections and launch new collaborations. EnableComp first convened this community at #HFMA23, hosting a conversation among trailblazing leaders Sandra Johnson, MBA, Leah McTague, Heather Dunn, MBA, Debbie Wierciak , and Ashley Long, who generously discussed challenges and shared insights from their successful careers. Immersive reality designed in partnership with #Veterans and #Clinicians, driving national scale innovation in collaboration with industry, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs once again exemplifies government at its best! Inspired by the expansive vision of Undersecretary Shereef Elnahal, Susan Kirsh MD MPH, Anne Lord Bailey, PharmD, and their teams along with the leadership of Walter Greenleaf, PhD galvanizing the private sector, the VA now has 40+ approved clinical applications, 3,400+ VR headsets in use by Veterans at over 170 VA medical centers and 24 new pilots. More than 2,500 clinicians and staff are involved in implementing and testing the technology for varied applications to drive positive healthcare outcomes, improved well being and strengthened interpersonal connection, including virtual Honor Flights, anonymous peer support counseling, final virtual visits home for hospice patients, resilience training, home VR therapies, physical therapy, chronic pain and PTSD. The ability of the VA to pilot new technologies at scale is unique within the healthcare ecosystem. Surely their results with help spark further private sector innovation and broader adoption of these new technologies in the commercial healthcare system, significantly improving patients lives.
