As June comes to a close, so does #nationalsafetymonth. I’m proud to highlight the successful relaunch of our GSAA Annual Summer Safety Fair. In partnership with our TPMG Safety team and Labor leaders, we celebrated Safety Month with 4 days of events across our GSAA sites, hosting various vendors, community partners, and our own KP departments. We promoted education and training which included respiratory protection, body mechanics/ergonomics, de-escalation tactics, security, patient handling and fire life safety, to name a few. We were able to reach over a thousand KP employees across our service area and promoted all aspects of safety, health and overall wellbeing. I’d like to thank all those who celebrated safety month with us, especially my team members who assisted with the planning, coordination and execution of these fantastic events.
