Tennis player Coco Gauff just perfectly articulated what I would call the opposite of imposter syndrome. It’s called delusional confidence, it’s one of my favorite topics, and women need more of it. It can mean the difference between outsize success and regular achievement. Big dreams require a deep seated conviction that you have what it takes to succeed against the odds. Coco understood that to beat the best player in the world she had to channel a confidence that almost feels a little crazy. We all need a little more of that in our work lives. #careers
Yes indeed, love this. Tennis is one of my favorite sports and I'm pretty sure I saw that match. I remember when Serena first beat her sister Venus in a big match. I agree with Coco, you have to reach beyond your normal goals to try and do something bigger. It doesn't have to be something you share with the world, but you do actually have to believe it.
Love this approach. There is a champion inside of all of us just waiting to be unleashed. Our job is to learn out how to cultivate this gift from within, take captive the negative thoughts, block out the naysayers, focus and put in the work.
Love this and absolutely agree. Big dreams require for you to go against all odds, moving forwards despite knowing the obstacles ahead with the confidence that whatever it is you will deal with it and overcome it.
we never stop learning from each other -- especially as women. this is inspiring, hope-filled, wise
This is a great example that communicates the power of our thoughts.
FAITH IN THE IMPOSSIBLE IS MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE 🔥🔥🔥 The only limits we have are created in our minds. You are amazing!!! Thank you for being you!
