Every day, I wake up with a weight on my heart, witnessing countless young individuals in my community struggling to find their identity. Some drift aimlessly, others remain stagnant at home, becoming burdens to their parents, and a few even veer down troubling paths, becoming a nuisance to society. But I refuse to point fingers. Instead, I see an opportunity for change. It's not their fault; many simply haven't discovered who they are, let alone tapped into their immense potential. I vividly recall asking some of them what they do, only to receive answers like "nothing" or "waiting for admissions." It struck a chord because, not too long ago, I was in their shoes. I hadn't unlocked my potential or added value to myself or others. Then, I had a transformative encounter with self-discovery and spirituality. It illuminated my path, revealing layers of untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. Now, I feel compelled to pay it forward. It's my personal mission to guide these young souls toward self-awareness and empowerment. Hence, I'm thrilled to announce the launch of a Digital Empowerment Conference aimed at providing them with the tools and insights to thrive in today's digital landscape. Under the theme "Unlocking Your Digital Potential," this conference, scheduled for April 27th, will feature esteemed professionals from LinkedIn who share my passion for nurturing the next generation. Day 1 As a survivor, every decision carries extra weight. You feel the usual debate about what to wear and the nerves that bubble up when meeting new people, but safety concerns are layered on top. You run through the scenarios: walk during the daylight vs. grabbing a rideshare. Leave before dark, no matter how much fun you're having. Never accept drinks from someone you don't know well; always get yours directly from the bartender. Smile and be social. Never lose track of the sunset. When it's time to go, you smile and say your goodbyes, but this time it's different. You find solidarity with two other women who are quietly leaving, too. You introduce yourselves. You talk about your work, your passions, and your children. The evening ends with laughter and conversation that extends into the elevator ride, only to be interrupted by the food delivery guy who pays too much attention. He refers to you as "baby," inquires if you're staying at the hotel, and watches you as you make your way to your room. At that moment, you're snapped back into reality. You wait for him to turn the corner before entering your room, locking the door, putting on the deadbolt, and turning on all the lights. Then, you grab your conference schedule and exhale. You're looking forward to the people you'll meet, the lessons you'll learn, and the ideas that will inspire your next venture. Your first night at TED has been incredible. You've connected with the world's brightest — strategiest, researchers, investors, scientists, designers, and artists. All of them are leaders, and all of them are on the same wavelength as you. One in four women in the U.S. is a rape survivor, a group that crosses racial, social, and economic lines and encompasses all levels of leadership. Every day, we wake up, do our safety checks and keep moving forward. But sometimes, we can find spaces where we can be free. And this week, I'm grateful to be @TED. #TEDConference #TEDNext

I am deeply honored to receive the Visionaries Award at the Health 2.0 Conference! My unique perspective, which I explore in my upcoming book "Lead Within, Lead Beyond," has often been misunderstood. As a child, my curiosity and tendency to challenge the status quo were seen as troublesome. In my professional life, I have encountered similar challenges, finding that my innovative ideas often lacked support and understanding. My solo travels in my twenties, visiting the Seven Wonders of the World, profoundly impacted me. The creators of Machu Picchu and the Great Pyramid of Giza, for instance, were undeterred by skepticism or the failure they experienced before their success. Their persistence and belief in their vision inspired me. These experiences reinforced my belief in my own vision, regardless of others' inability to see it. This conviction led me to establish Fit to be Strong Leader, granting me the autonomy to follow my passion and pursue my ideas without the approval of others. Being a visionary is challenging. It constantly requires overcoming self-doubt, often amplified by others' fears, and persevering without guarantees or much support. Events like the Health 2.0 Conference are invaluable. They provide a platform to connect with fellow visionaries and leaders who are also committed to rising above the status quo and envisioning a brighter future. Despite my journey's challenges and my radical ideas, meeting like-minded individuals at these venues reassures me that I am not alone. This journey is worth it. While I no longer seek external validation or accolades, I deeply appreciate finding my tribe… those who are following their own vision and can understand mine. I conclude with a powerful quote shared by another visionary at the conference: "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." — Steve Jobs. This sentiment encapsulates the essence of our shared journey as change-makers, and a reminder to keep on going regardless of the challenges. #health2conf #selfmasteringleadership #vision #courage

This is going to ruffle a few feathers but I’m beyond frustrated at seeing successful, insanely driven, motivated and powerful women miss out on their full potential …this happens when our drive or motivation in business literally takes over, and you end up on auto pilot on a one track destination… Everything is focused on business… Because without money… Or the thought of not having money fuels fear and scarcity… …Health is the ULTIMATE wealth… It doesn’t matter how much money you have in your bank account or what car you drive… You NEED to fuel yourself to thrive… Here’s the thing… It’s not your fault you associate healthy eating with weight loss, or prioritise money over health… …society is DESIGNED to influence your actions and behaviours… And the truth is… There’s no money being made by big pharma if your health is in tip top shape …and stress is one of the number one contributing causes of heart attacks and heart related diseases… The fact is… …money can’t buy your health …constantly being ill is not ok and it’s your sign to pay attention and take action And look, I get it… I’ve had the pains in the chest from being morbidly obese… Ended up in hospital burnt out from under fuelling… What I do know is this… How you look on the outside is a direct reflection of what’s going on, inside And making simple health upgrades doesn’t need to take over your life or be a ballache… Watch this… it’s probably the 12 minute wake up call you need… #tedx #wellness #healthiswealth #balanceiskey #learningfromfailure https://lnkd.in/d43bbwUU
