Day 2 #Museum30 #Introduction. Over many years developing & evaluating them, I’ve come to realise that the introduction is one of the hardest parts of an #exhibition to get right. What definitely doesn’t work – at least in a museum – is a great big wordy text panel. Visitors might read one in an #artgallery, but not in a #museum where they seem to be following a different ‘script’. For visitors in a museum exhibition, the introduction is the first things at which they stop & look deeply. And that will almost certainly be at an object, model, interactive exhibit or film. This is where visitors looked around & asked themselves ‘what’s this all about?’ Whether you mean it to be or not, for your visitors this is the introduction. And it can sometimes be a surprisingly long way into the exhibition

"How do you ensure equity in research participation?" This question came from an audience member after I delivered a keynote address to an auditorium filled with passionate museum and cultural professionals. A very important question, with a complex and layered answer. Interesting facts about the concept of " the new museum in the twenty-first century "; It doesn't focus on the digital mediums that are used to tell narratives rather focuses on the idea of  the ‘democratization of the museums’ content and programming’ in which people play a major contribution in the exhibition design.
