📢 Grantees asked, we didn't just answer: Together, we built a new way of doing things in 2024 and beyond. Here's what happened: • Every election cycle we've heard the same thing over and over again: The money came too late. • Tired of this boom-and-bust funding cycle, this year we launched All by April, a campaign to have donors and funders commit to getting non-partisan, pro-democracy funding out the door by April. • Donors and funders across the country answered our call with nearly 200 signers. We also had many people and groups who didn't sign, but were inspired by our vision to donate early and did so themselves. • We've seen tens of millions of new and existing money get to communities and organizations to help us all have a stronger democracy.

In 2020, LaShawn Williamson founded Wave 7 Communications, a new Internet service provider in the rural community of Enfield, North Carolina. Wave 7 works to provide the community with fast, affordable, and reliable Internet service. It also partners with a local nonprofit, the Community of Hope Center, to teach digital skills to senior citizens. In collaboration with Truist, we helped fund these efforts through the Expanding Potential in Communities (EPIC) Grant Program. This National Reconciliation Week, we’re asking for the support of our allies – now more than ever. Since 2019 we’ve been working to change systems through storytelling. To back First Nations communities, our solutions and our ways. To share our platform, inspire young storytellers, and educate wider Australia. I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and important to me. Seven months ago, I took a leap of faith and founded a manhood development/AAU basketball called the Dream Team. It was born out of a deep-seated belief that we can make a profound impact on the next generation, especially those who need it the most. Little did I know then that the Dream Team would grow to become something bigger and more impactful than I ever imagined. Our program is free for all players because we firmly believe that every child deserves access to opportunities, regardless of their background. However, as we all know, youth sports come with financial costs. Despite facing financial challenges, we have achieved some remarkable successes. When we began, the average GPA of our players was 2.6. Today, after just seven months, it stands at an impressive 3.12. These are not just numbers; they represent the tangible difference we are making in the lives of these young individuals. I believe in the power of community and collective action.
