The results are in: The All by April campaign established a best practice in the philanthropic world for funding non-partisan, pro-democracy work in an election cycle: It's getting funding out the door early! Together, we built a new way of doing things in 2024 and beyond. Here's what happened: ✓ Every election cycle we've heard the same thing over and over again: The money came too late. ✓ To try to change this boom-and-bust funding cycle, this year we joined All by April, a campaign to have donors and funders commit to getting non-partisan, pro-democracy funding out the door by April. ✓ Donors and funders across the country answered the call. Nearly 200 groups and individuals signed on and many others didn't officially sign on, but were inspired by our vision to donate early and did so themselves. As a result, tens of millions of new and existing money got out to communities and organizations to help us all have a stronger democracy.

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re asking for the support of our allies – now more than ever. Since 2019 we’ve been working to change systems through storytelling. To back First Nations communities, our solutions and our ways. To share our platform, inspire young storytellers, and educate wider Australia. We are so grateful for the community who’ve supported us along the way. But we need to move beyond reconciliation. True allyship extends to tangible actions like giving time, sharing resources, redistributing wealth and shifting power. That’s why we’ve launched our first-ever matched giving fundraiser this week. I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and important to me. Seven months ago, I took a leap of faith and founded a manhood development/AAU basketball called the Dream Team. It was born out of a deep-seated belief that we can make a profound impact on the next generation, especially those who need it the most. Little did I know then that the Dream Team would grow to become something bigger and more impactful than I ever imagined. Our program is free for all players because we firmly believe that every child deserves access to opportunities, regardless of their background. However, as we all know, youth sports come with financial costs. Despite facing financial challenges, we have achieved some remarkable successes. When we began, the average GPA of our players was 2.6. Today, after just seven months, it stands at an impressive 3.12. These are not just numbers; they represent the tangible difference we are making in the lives of these young individuals. I believe in the power of community and collective action. Currently our programs doesn’t have the funds to sustain this program, so we need your help. You can donate and receive popcorn.
