The All by April campaign was diverse and inclusive. We know that getting early money out the door for the 2024 election cycle looks differently for each one of our nearly 200 signers, and that’s great! Our combined efforts resulted in $140 million of new grants or accelerated payments for nonpartisan organizations working to ensure our elections are free, fair, and representative.

⏰ We’re already counting down to the 2024 election, and civic groups working to make sure the electoral process is free and fair need our support NOW. 🗓️ Early funding empowers nonpartisan efforts to reduce voting barriers, combat misinformation, and protect the rights of Americans. ⏳When funds arrive late in the year, they are less effective. That’s why this year we’re committing to moving faster. Join us for All by April – a movement of funders committed to making contributions by April: AllByApril.org #AllByApril

📢 We’re proud to announce the launch of All by April, a nonpartisan campaign asking funders & donors to move quickly in 2024 to get election-related funding out the door. 501(c)3 organizations connect voters to the ballot box and protect the integrity of our election system. They reduce barriers to voting, combat misinformation, help recruit poll workers, and much more. ⌛️ But year after year we’ve heard the same thing from nonprofits who support the election process: “the money came too late.” ⏰ We know early funding is crucial to their work, especially for smaller grassroots organizations and those based in communities of color. When funds are received early in the year, nonprofits can maximize their efforts and: — Plan confidently — Hire and train staff — Develop better messaging and tactics — Lock-in lower-cost rates for many expenses — Use primary election process to identify concerns that need to be addressed ahead of November ➡️ Join us and make the pledge to provide early support, move election funds faster wherever possible, and encourage your networks to do the same. Our democracy will be stronger for it! AllByApril.org

Happy Giving Tuesday! We approach Giving Tuesday a little differently here. Starting with: we're not going to ask for your money 🤯 Instead of a monetary donation, we are seeking support in the following ways: 🗳️ Take the pledge to vote at https://lnkd.in/gxT_NC7v. Our Voter Pledge Program keeps pledged voters aware of upcoming deadlines, clarifies state laws, and even breaks down what all those elected positions are meant to do. It's free and takes less than two minutes. 📱 Follow us on social media (we are @wearevotersorg on X, Instagram, and TikTok). 👋 Interact with us - Like, share, comment… whatever you can do to interact with our posts helps up our place in the algorithm. 🗣️ Tell your friends - Send an email, post on social media, tell your neighbor; however you can spread the word is very helpful. 💡 Bonus: If you want to donate, who are we to squash your dreams? You can go to raisingvoters.org and donate right on the page. Who doesn't love a write-off? Your encouragement is a game-changer. By spreading the word, engaging with our cause, and championing voter participation, you contribute to a brighter future. The 2024 election holds unprecedented significance, and we can make a lasting impact with your support. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey.

We need to ensure that any changes to our electoral system work for the benefit of citizens and not the benefit of the two major political parties. We need to totally ban political donations and fund all campaigning by candidates from the public purse. It would end up saving us money and our democracy. These campaigns need not be as expensive as those we currently see and could involve just a few minutes of TV and radio, a certain number of corflute signs and maybe three rounds of flyers for each candidate and that is it. They can make as many phone calls and knock on as many doors as they and their volunteers can manage. Candidates who try to game the system or who are not serious in their attempt could be libel for serious fines. WE already spend more than this would cost funding the political parties. We seem to have forgotten it is the candidates that are supposed to represent their electorate not the political parties.
