URGENT: 100 Strangers Needed in 24 Hours — Minneapolis creatives, I need your help. Hello LinkedIn. It's Liban (lee~ben) here, and I'm reaching out with an urgent message. As the founder of Strangers Meeting Strangers (SMS), I find myself in a situation where I need to be fully transparent with our community. We're facing a challenge, and I take full responsibility for it. Tomorrow night, we're hosting our second non-government affiliated Town Hall at Theatre in the Round — an event that's grown from a simple idea of two strangers meeting on stage to becoming the largest intentional gathering of creatives in our city. But here's the truth: We've planned for 200 attendees, and with just 24 hours to go, we're only halfway there (100/200). This is on me. I waited too long to reach out, believing that word would spread naturally. I was wrong, and now I'm turning to you — our community — for support. Picture this: A 360-degree theater filled with artists, musicians, and creatives from all walks of life. The air is electric with anticipation. Strangers are becoming collaborators. Real, raw conversations are unfolding. The soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit are washing over the crowd. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt Why Attend? (1) Real Talk: Engage in honest conversations about money, purpose, and the challenges of a creative life. (2) Live Music: Experience the beautiful, soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit. (3) Community Building: Be part of a movement shaping the future of our creative community. (4) Networking: Connect with fellow creatives who understand your journey. This isn't just another networking event. It's a chance to speak your truth and be heard, to shape the future of our creative community. If you're reading this, I want you to please consider yourself personally invited. And if you can't make it, I'd like you to share this message. Your single share could bring the person who changes the trajectory of our creative scene. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt From one stranger to another, thank you. #StrangersMeetingStrangers #SMS #MinneapolisCreatives #TownHall #CommunityBuilding

This is really about our refusal to create an educated electorate. Chatting with folks in their 20s, some literally do not understand how the system works, they know they don't understand it, they see the fruits of what we've created in this very inequitable system, and they're divested. So who ends up voting? A lot of really scared, self-serving as opposed to community-driven, cynical, anti-forward thinking individuals. Who will be long dead when the country has slipped into its final morass of failed late-stage capitalism. We need to work on getting Americans aware about the voting process. Yes to more voter education -- it's a crisis now.
The heartbreaking and devastating cuts to Florida's arts communities need to be addressed at the ballot box, in the board rooms of art institutions, in the media, at community forums, with letters, calls, emails and action. This outrageous view is compounded by diminishing self expression, freedom of speech and freedom to create. Our state representatives should be ashamed of their lack of backbone and unwillingness to veto action taken by one person. How will we rise up together to stop this insanity? https://lnkd.in/esPA4dih

THIS! Music's effect can be nearly instantaneous. It helps to have familiar music BUT familiarity is not required! We are able to eliminate burnout in 5 minutes with strangers. And the best thing about using music is that it only reinforces itself, in the same way that a song you know and love can instantly change your mood / cognition, the more you use our music, the faster your brain will react! Who else can say that, eh? By the way, by "our music" I mean Evoked Response's latest productions which are available on many apps, health programs and are embedded into multiple devices (one which is going for FDA approval for sleep). We do not have our own app. Strictly B2B. If you want to experience the music yourself we have some (admittedly old) samples on the site, but we also give our entire latest library to partners and researchers FOR FREE. Indeed this is actually how we sell our music - 90% of our clients want to conduct a thorough study on their own customers, and we are happy to let the results speak for themselves. If it's a brain gaming company maybe they test if user score increases, if it's a sleep company does it improve sleep. And even companies that just want better music for their product, whatever it is. Why? It boils down to one thing: Does this music increase my bottom line? Yep! It reduces churn, increases conversion, and significantly increases engagement with the app / device. Fortunately we have a therapy that is both effective and enjoyable. I even talked recently about how we can reliably induce frission (chills)! Yup making some bold claims here. Put me to the test here or DM.
