Bollards can be a nice alternative to streetlights — but only if they're right for your project. Intrigued? Let's pass the mic to Richard Jackson, who knows all about this topic. 🎤 He says since they're installed at a lower level than streetlights, they have to throw light further out. Simple answer, NO. bollard lights are great for pedestrian areas but rubbish for public highway streets where vehicles are in use or parked. They have a higher failure rate and are more prone to vandalism and accidental damage.

Richard Jackson. Maybe worth mentioning SBD requirements as we always ask this question when clients enquire about bollard only lighting.
