You do not go to work to be abused. You do not go to work to be drained of your humanhood. You do not go to work to question your value. But moreover, You do not go to work to abuse. You do not go to work to drain others of their humanity. And you MOST CERTAINLY do not go to work to make others question their value. But if you do, you do not need to be in a leadership position.

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. - The Writer of Hebrews. Be an encourager, so that you too may be encouraged. We all face trials, struggles and adversity requiring us to need encouragement and people to come along side to say "I am here, lean on me". Be that person others feel they can lean on and you will be "lifted up". It will take you our of despair and despondency. Others need to see your strength, so they may be strengthened. Yet, when you seek to strengthen others you too will be strengthened. Two together are stronger than sum of two separately. It has been shown that two oxen can pull nearly four times the amount of one alone. The same is true with people. Look for people you can come along side and lift up. Speak words of encouragement, life and hope. Be a difference maker. Leave a Legacy. Be a Champion. - JDM

Today I was reading The Saint, The Surfer and the CEO by Robin Sharma, and I came across this beautiful line: 'The second reason we betray ourselves and borrow someone else’s life path is because we fear our own light.' The article discusses two reasons why we betray our souls. Firstly, we fear being different. Questions like 'What will people say about us?' and 'What if I don't follow society's norms?' often lead us to choose the path of failure that others around us are taking. Isn't it true that anyone who does not follow their inner calling is failing in life? They might hold positions like Manager, CEO, or Director, but are they truly succeeding? Will they be able to justify their choices to themselves when the time comes to depart? Wouldn't they wonder, 'What if we had lived differently? What would have happened if I had chosen to follow my heart?' Yes, society might label it as risky, but was it really impossible? Share your views.

Telling the truth: 1, Set reasonable and feasible target as well as time line. 2, Push harder. 3, Leave reasonable time buffer as there is always things out of control or go south, which you need to or have to tolerate. 4, Empower the people you are working with no matter internally or externally. Admit the humanity. 5, Get the sufficient budget. 6, Prepare for failure.

Unshaken: The Art of Valuing Your Vision In a world brimming with opinions, it’s crucial to discern which voices to heed and which to let fade into the background. The key to enduring success lies not in the multitude of voices that surround us, but in the clarity of our own vision. The Moral of Conviction The moral is simple yet profound: do not let the cacophony of negative voices deter you. It’s about recognizing that criticism, more often than not, is noise without substance, a distraction from your purpose. The Story of J.K. Rowling Take J.K. Rowling, for instance. Before the world knew her as the author of Harry Potter, she was a single mother on welfare, struggling to get by. Her manuscript was rejected multiple times, yet she persisted1. Rowling’s unwavering belief in her story’s worth transformed her life and the lives of millions of readers. Her journey is a powerful reminder that the only opinions that truly matter are those that help us to soar. Forge Ahead with Purpose Let Rowling’s story inspire you to forge ahead with purpose. When negativity attempts to cloud your vision, remember that it’s your belief in your goals that will carry you through. Stand firm in your convictions, and let your actions speak the truth of your vision. In conclusion, let the skeptics talk while you walk the walk. Your vision, not their opinions, will define your legacy. #GrowthMindset #PostiveThinking #StayFocused #Leadership

🤔 I've taught my three children (now adults & professionals) that treating each person with human dignity should always be at the forefront of their interactions. Each of them have told me it's something important they anchor to; especially when faced with conflict or a very busy day. It's crucial to remember, no matter our station in life or in our careers, that we all have the power to make a positive impact. From the diligent individual contributors to the visionary CEOs, there's a common thread that unites us all - the ability to treat every person we encounter with dignity and respect. 🙌 Showing kindness takes very little effort and its returns are immeasurable. In other words, a little politeness and consideration go a long way. So, as you navigate through your busy day, take a moment to embrace the power of kindness. Consider the human worth and dignity of every person you encounter. #KindnessMatters #Respect #Dignity #leadership #justthinking

Strategic HR Leader | Veteran | Passion for identifying, coaching, and developing positive organizational culture | "No matter what you achieve in life, somebody - somewhere helped you!" | Let's partner up......
Approval...We all seem to seek it in one form or another, from our relationships, our children, boss, coworkers, friends, etc..., but what does this validation mean? Does having the approval of someone else, make us better people? Does having their buy-in sanctify right over wrong or hip vs faddish? Does it REALLY matter what others think of us? Or instead, should we focus on our own internal values, skillsets, and talents void from external scrutiny? This statement brings me to the following quote: "As long as you are worried about what others think of you, you are owned by them. Only when you require no approval from outside yourself can you own yourself" ~ M. Chernoff Friends....Invalidate what others think of you as long as you are conducting yourself with integrity, candor, and grace appropriate with civilized values. DO NOT be owned by the status quo and instead, live a full, happy, and inspirational life. There are no dress rehearsals....Give this life--YOUR best... Have a great day! ~ "MD" Becker #motivationalleadership #leadershipbyexample #leadfromthefront #hrprofessional #veteranshelpingveterans #organizationalleadership

The ability to advocate for yourself is one of the most critical skills we can develop if we ever hope to be influential and have an impact. We assert our own self-worth when we demand our dignity and hallow our humanity. Therefore, no matter the title you possess or the space you occupy, always remember that being valued precedes being valuable. While you can’t control anyone else’s actions, you can declare your expectations, disengage with those who refuse to meet them and protect your peace at all cost. #wholeSOULLeadership #leadershipdevelopment #executivecoaching #womensleadership #practicalwoo
