Classic cars in movies: where automotive nostalgia becomes an integral part of cinematic storytelling Lotus Esprit - The Spy Who Love Me (1977) The Lotus Esprit S1's starring role in "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977) is the stuff of cinematic legend. This sleek, white sports car quickly became an iconic Bond vehicle, not just for its stylish design but for its extraordinary underwater capabilities. Bond, played by Roger Moore, finds himself pursued by villainous henchmen and drives the Lotus Esprit off a pier into the sea. To the astonishment of both Bond and the audience, the car seamlessly transforms into a submarine, complete with fins and a periscope. The underwater chase that ensues, with Bond outmaneuvering his adversaries beneath the waves, remains one of the most memorable and audacious sequences in the James Bond franchise, solidifying the Lotus Esprit's status as one of the most iconic Bond cars of all time. Latest Koenigsegg Jesko Attack Has Strong Agera RS Phoenix Vibes https://lnkd.in/d-qWPHUZ Koenigsegg has been posting imagery of several different takes on Koenigsegg Jesko builds as they leave the factory, and the latest is a blast from the past. The Jesko you see below is of the Attack variant, meaning it gets a massive rear wing for improved handling ability, but what sticks out even more than this aero appendage is the car's color scheme of black and gold. A Koenigsegg Agera RS known as the Phoenix sports a similar color scheme, and it looks just as good there as it does here. Just like that car, the effect is achieved with real gold leaf. The textured 24-carat gold leaf is paired with clear carbon fiber bodywork, not to be confused with Koenigsegg Naked Carbon, and the overall effect is mesmerizing, albeit a little flashy. Like any other technology or methodology that Koenigsegg employs, it's stunning but takes time to perfect. Still, the results are worth the wait, especially when you're talking about a car that smashes lap records by accident.
