If you are an aviation enthusiast, you may have heard of the legendary L888, also known as the Silk Road Air Route. This route runs over China and the plateaus of Tibet - the ‘roof of the world’ where the Himalayan peaks reach up to 5,000 meters and higher. ✈️ This challenging route requires special regulations for pilots, but it is an efficient way for DHL to lower emissions. With 6 flights per week, we save around 20 minutes per flight, saving 2,000kg of fuel and 6,000kg of CO2 per flight.
