🏔️I can never get enough of admiring the breathtaking views of my mountains. I am grateful to think that through my work, I can contribute positively to our environment. These majestic landscapes are at risk due to climate change. Recent data reveals that mountain regions are warming at an accelerated rate, twice as fast as the global average. This rapid temperature rise threatens glaciers, biodiversity, and local communities dependent on these ecosystems. The Vaia storm - whose effects can be seen in this picture - was a stark reminder of how climate change is intensifying extreme weather events, causing devastating impacts on our forests and landscapes. It's alarming to think that these views might not be here for future generations to enjoy. Each of us has a role to play in preserving these natural wonders. 🌊 Happy World Oceans Day! 🌊 Ocean health has not been heading in a great direction to say the very least, but I believe there is hope and nature can help us if we allow it and nurture it to restore. This will not be easy. As an example, did you know that giant kelp can grow 10 or more times faster than trees, requires no arable land or fresh water, and helps develop biodiverse marine ecosystems? I want to mention the incredible work done by the Climate Foundation in developing leading technology promoting the growth of sustainable marine ecosystems, and receiving due recognition by a milestone award for the Musk XPRIZE for carbon removal.
