I am about to endorse a VC again :) In my search for Founder Friendly deals for startups I didn't have to go far. My friends at Eleven have prepared an amazing structure for pre-seed startups called Eleven Alpha, which is basically the most founder friendly term-sheet I have seen in a long while. And they are in their second edition with the same founder friendly terms. It's a cash for equity deal. It values your company at 3M, gives you 300K in cash for 10% of equity and you get swaths of support and perks of being One of 11. I haven't spotted any red flags in the contract. I would especially recommend this deal to any company currently in an equity free accelerator looking for investment to match. It's even the identical amount to what Katapult, the accelerator in Belgrade, is matching! :) Disclaimer: Eleven is a VC that invested in my company few years ago and Daniel Tomov is a friend and mentor. Play in a big market and calculate the market from the bottom up (e.g. how many items are being bought x price). Be ambitious but realistic on your valuation.  𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀?  If the feedback is that you are too early, send updates or ask for advice / referrals. 💰Trying to raise a Series A round? 📈 It's tough out there. In consumer tech, you'll need $1M in monthly revenue with 78% month-on-month growth to be in the top decile of companies raising. It always helps to know benchmarks. If you aren’t performing well against your peer group, don’t waste your time on fundraising. It will divert precious time away from growing the business.
